  1. good pics as always.nice to hear roxy is doing well.
  2. looks a lovely pup.wish you all the best with her and many years in the field.
  3. cut a decent length bramble. trim off were you are going to hold it. put down the tube twist round see if any fleck is on it. give you a idea were the rabbit is. thats if they have killed it.
  4. just keep trying. over the last couple of months i have driven to 51 farms within 50 miles of home. got 1 new permission.perseverance is the only way im afraid.good luck.
  5. i would have a serious think if this is the game for you. the bitch is still young but you have to put the effort in. it would not be fair on her to be in the kennels. either put the effort in and work her as much as you can when she is trained and ready. or find her a decent home were she will get worked regularly when she is ready.
  6. good luck to your friend. i try to be a little self sufficient. have a large plot, keep lots of chickens, also ferret and fish. but all this costs money seeds, plants, feedstuff for the chickens also time and effort. also for the larger animals vet bills. but i am only playing at it.hope he makes a success of his venture.
  7. good advice for the lad. personally i would go for beddy/whippet. seen some belters over the years ferreting. good find/catch and mark dogs. good luck.sorry just looked at the post start date.
  8. sorry about your loss. my first lurcher died at 2. i got another pup within weeks. put all my efforts into the pup to take my mind off things.time is also a healer. good luck for the future.
  9. she is just going through a adolecent stage that most pups go through. just take your time and be patient. beddy crosses can be stubborn. i have got a pure beddy who was as stubborn as a mule as a young dog.as he matured things got a lot easier. seen plenty of beddy/whippets size ranged from 16-19 tts. good luck with the pup.
  10. 7 is a decent day. count each day your out ferreting as a bonus.sometimes different things stop you getting out. thats when i feel fed up.so well done.
  11. a very nice bag.well done that dog.
  12. good pics especialy the one of the lad down the hole.he will have plenty to look back on when he is older. well done with the rabbits
  13. way too early to even think of fighting the klichkos.
  14. looked sluggish early on and got caught, can fight a lot better than that.cant fault his heart.he is still a young man who is learning his trade.hope he learns from this and improves.
  15. looked comfortable in the ring for his first pro fight. nice jab. a long journey ahead. hope the lad makes it.
  16. some people will be lucky. know the breeder seen the parents work . some people will go by word of mouth. others maybe know no one view a litter take their choice without any prior knowledge.depends on the circumstances. a well reared healthy looking pup is a must.if you are serious about what work you are going to do with the pup. put in the effort and hope for the best.
  17. had it quite a few times on the barbecue. very nice too.
  18. accidents happen unfortunatly. you just learn from them. hope your ferret is ok.
  19. idealy dog working free. some situations have to peg the dog down when he has marked ie on 1 permission a number of burrows are along a fence line next to a busy road.
