  2. Kevin you probably get away without paying tax because of that dodgy knee of yours lol,no one should pay tax with the state of some of the roads.
  3. P3D how can you call people that keep bullx terriers SIMPLEMINDED.How do you know they are so easy to enter if you dont use them.I have a straight staffxpatt and he is a very good diging dog.He is fine around stock, dogs, and people and is ran with the rest of the dogs loose when exercising. He is smaller than any of the black dogs i have and about 16lb in weight.People have a habit of slating the bullx's but they should not until they've tried them and seen first hand how they work. There is shite in every breed as you well know, and you a man that is trying to work borders should know that, and by

  7. Whippet,or maybe beddyxwhippet, something small handy around ferrets and nets and with a good burst of speed for the bolters that get out of the nets.
  8. Ive seen them used from a week old onwards.
  9. In all honesty, who would go and tell the rspca or anyone one in atourity that you put a lamb ring on the dogs tail. The dog will have very little discomfort, maybe a bit the 1st day but after that it does not even notice it on,and the bit you dont want falls off after a week to 10 days leaving the tail looking like it was done by a vet.
  10. Over here its a snareing process carried out by an employee of dept,of agriculture, and yes they are very good snares.
  11. We had a wheatonx like that, could not take your eye of her or she was gone.
  12. There used to be a good little show in castlebellingham,is it on anymore,i think j.kelly used to organise it.
  13. f*****g disgrace,if you were caught out in the wrong place withy a dog you would be locked up yet these parasites are allowed walk the streets endangering the well being of everyone around them, scum of the earth.hope all goes well buddy.
  14. Stick a ring for taking of lambs tails on its tail at the lenght you want, problem solved.
  15. Once had a woodcock on the lamp, seen the eyes, slipped the bitch and she took it just as it rose, she almost had an owl another night. She had picked a rabbit and it was squeeling like hell and the owl swooped down and the bitch droped the rabbit and leaped up and just missed the owl, thankfully as i think they are really lovely birds.
  16. What extra fiver? This show was €15 last year and this year we have a lot more new attractions in addition to what was there last year. Therefore we are bringing even more value for money. For families we have children going FREE. There are also a number of children and animal charities being supported? Either we care enough about country sports to put a little bit of revenue their way or we don't. I know which boat we are on! We all know which boat ye are on,the one that is slowly..slowly leaving,bye.bye.
  17. I heard lads were going to turn away yesterday from the entrance because of the entry fee and they decided to let them in for 10euro.I only live 2 mile from it and would not go went fishing instead.I remember the year nuttal judged it,was'nt a bad do then but last few year were rubbish, complete rip off, roll on the westmeath hunt show next sunday.
  18. Dug 1 many years ago,and also bolted 1,have'nt came across 1 to ground since. They are a very strong animal to ground, stronger than fox but not on the same level as badger. They bolt pretty easy im told if they get the chance, lovely animal to watch in the river, very inquisitive and playfull.
  19. I often fished that river mick, but its the wrong time of year for me now, lol,do you fish ramor.
  20. seen this myself i would`nt have put so like terrier man says why have you ? Because their silly pratts that found a dead fox and wanted to play with it awhile but could not stick the smelkl of it
  21. J.Darcy could you empty your inbox please.
  22. Ive already said that there was a lot of places a terrier could not be tried for obvious reasons..eg..too deep, but even the earths they did do a dog was longer in the ground than a dog with locater on.Not easy locate a terrier to ground in a 6ft hole without a collar and maybe it windy aswell,no matter how good a sounder it is.We were often a couple of hours before you would get even the slightest mark on a dog, then you had to try and pin point where it was coming from. The locater was a brilliant invention, and what no one has mentioned it has imo saved the lives of a lot of good dogs simply be
  23. lads this will only be a good show if people turn up so the more the merrier Why dont you get some posters done up and distribute them around the country.I know a lot of lads that are not on here and would not even know the show exists let alone when its on,just an idea.
  24. to be honest mate, surely you catch around the thousand Mark mate if your out on this good land that's only 40 rabbits a week over 6 months. I think many a people who are out alot can do that. just from your pup night that's over the weekly quota you would need, but 10000 that's average of 27 a night, every night for the whole year that is some challenge how many freezers would u need Some pain in your bollox eating f*****g rabbit,i know its nice but you can only eat so much of anything.
  25. Knew a man that had 2 cockers, very good gun dogs but he had to be carefull where he used them ,if there was a badger sett in use they would fly to ground and had to be dug out on a few occasions.
