    The bales are a haven for fox,nice and snug and warm,now they are making the big square bales we dont get them in them so much as they are too tight together for fox to get into.Was over in derbyshire years ago on a hunting weekend and my mate entered his russell bitch in a huge stack.She made contact smack in the middle of the stack which was about 8 bales wide and the same maybe in height and this bitch took no prisoners.1 of the lads went to the farmer who in turn came with a teleporter and removed the bales so we could reach the bitch who at this stage had accounted for her fox to the farm

    Worked a 3quarter smooth fox terrierxbull years ago,was a very good dog to ground and an excellent dog over ground in cover with a great voice,had him for over 15year he died in his sleep in front of the fire.

    Much the same happened only 15 mile down the road in delvin a couple of months back.Farmer asked them not to go on his land and they went in regardless and 1 of them openly walked up the road swinging a dead hare as the farmer returned.Guards and wildlife ranger were called but nothing became of it as the dead hare done a houdini act and could not be found.Its ok for the likes of them b*****ds but its the genuine lads that come behind are the ones to suffer.I dont hunt hares although i do keep a lurcher but just for fox,but i have already lost good permission because of people like this.The fa

    If you have permission to be on the land your on,even shooting,no gun club member has the right to tell you to go.Im in the local GC but there is some of the gun club ground that lads can hunt or even shoot with thefarmers permission so the gun club have to grin and bear it.In fairness though i have never heard of any gun club members having lads that are at vermin control removed of land,are they not doin the gc a favour at the end of the day.Most of the members in my local club will not bother with fox drives until the shooting is all over then they expect everyone to be out on a sunday morn

    Foxing machine thats a sort of silly statement,what would people do,leave the dog down there,put the dog in its up to you to dig it back out,good dig by the way,well done. he's just like you then! sat at a computer chatting shite about digging are you going get some pics up this season!!! I only read this forum and never post but i just cant help myself. Bushtucker,i dig my dogs no matter what dept they go,after all its up to you to get them back out safely after they have done a job for you,as for pics i have said before i dont do em,never have.

    Lurcher 330 i would imagine you would have to be caught running deer or worse have 1 in your possesion to be actually done for poaching deer,BUT to put a lamp on deer at night i think is an offence.I was done for puting a lamp on a river and accused of poaching salmon even though i had not means what so ever of taking them out of the f*****g river.They done me for disturbing fish and having in my possesion a lamp for the purpose of taking fish,dont know how it would work with deer or hares for that matter.Was hunting in an area only last sunday where there were signs on the farm gates,ANY DOGS

    Its not all down to the rifle men althiugh they will take a big amount.I think snaring takes every bit as much,on an estate beside me a few year back a keeper snared 98 head of game in a few weeks,there is about 2000 acres in it,how would it come back from that,it would take a long time.
