    Its not normal for a dog to shit as much after dry is fed,when i feed tripe or beef to 9 dogs including a lab and 2 springers and a bullx lurcher i usually pick up about a shovel full of shit but with dry you could fill a f***ing barrow.Sometimes i get the cheap wholemeal biscuits in aldi or lydl and give them some along with tripe or beef no problems and dogs do well on it.

    Seen a vixon and 3 good sized cubs earlier this morn way out in the middle of a big field just mooching about,cubs looked about half grown or near abouts.

    That beddy dog was crap,no ifs or buts about it,he was not fit to be dug single hasnded thats why there was more terriers in attendence.He was not even fit to draw the fox even with help so how on earth can you say he cant be faulted.I have seen the little lakey type bitch dug and she was good enough,what went on that day with them was a shambles imho.

    An old woman once told me if you give your chickens a warm meal in the eve just before they roost its a cert you will have eggs next morn,seems to work,weather also plays a part in there laying patteren,you also need a nice snug warm laying box.

    On a more serious note,i would not trust my terriers to kennel them doubled up,not even mixed,dogs-bitchs,only this eve as i was cleaning out kennells,3 of them were out in the run at front of kennells i also had some chickens out lose and when the terriers seen them they went mad,2 bitchs,1 dog and within a few seconds they were into each other,2 bitchs at it hard and the dog running in grabbing at both of them,chickens were 30 yds away in the garden but it still got them started.I find that terriers in the winter time are far less aggresive as they are been worked and kept busy where as now

    FM,did your bitch kill the fox or did it die itself,sounds like it was a lack of air imo.Few year ago my mate and another chap were oiut and dug to a young dog but on the break through both quarry and dog moved on a bit.They got another mark on the dog and started to dig but this time the dog went silent and when they broke in the 2nd time both dog and quarry were dead even though they had opened up a couple of yds behind them earlier and there seemed to be plenty of air geting through,the hazzards of terrier work,at least your bitch died doing what she was bred for.

    1 tip for you make sure no one has laid down poison and used a rabbit in the process.Your bitch will learn to hunt and find for herself the more you take her out the more interested she will become,just take her where there is plenty of rabbits about and try leting her see 1 run in to cover.

    They can be the best of buddy's 1 minute and next trying to choke each other,it dont take much to set a terrier off.I kennel and pen them seperate and have peace of mind.

    No news buddy,she completely vanished.I contacted the local dog pounds and rescue centres also local vetenary so if she turns up in any of them they have my no.I also done the nearest halting site yesterday eve but no joy there either,mind you i got some dirty looks walking about the place and me a complete stranger to them.She could be anywhere or even dead by now,i would rather find her dead than for some scum to abuse her,atb.
