    Cracked ribs is a very sore condition,i once years ago when full of the guinness got in some trouble in the local pup.I left the pup and outside there were a few lads waiting for me,to put it mildly they made a football out of me,did not hurt much on the night as i was numb from the drink but next morn as i woke f**k did i hurt,even to take a deep breath was painful.I went to the hospital later in the day where they after some x-rays comfirmed i had 3 ribs broken-cracked,not a lot can be done just tight bandage around the ribcage and take things easy for a few days.

    Lee why dont you walk your pup up to said earth and on the lead-chain see what he makes of it,see if he wants in or even show a bit of interest in it,wont do the pup no harm and if he wants in at least you will know he has a bit of drive in him.

    I have a bitch here that went to ground at 9 months old by accident.She was dug to 2hr30min later with her quarry.She had took a bit of stick but was ok.That was the end of march and she was not taken out again until september and she has not looked back,5 year old now with a lot of diging behind her.A lot of lads are too eager to try there youngsters and end up spoiling what could have turned out a good terrier,let them be pups 1st and when they come of age then see what there made of with a few handy digs,most important is when you have them started to keep them winning so for the 1st season

    My reply to 5 foot downs comments. There is actually someone on this forum who has agreed in what I have said and has the intelligence and opinion on the working aspects of terriers.The truth of the matter is, that hard dogs and their owners give the terrier-game bad press. So simple and a fact which would be shared by anybody who has been involved with good dogs. I am not for one moment pulling hard dogs down, I am not. They have their place and uses. However, like I have mentioned before I don't think it is a good idea to parade dogs with open wounds at shows to all and sundry to see....5 fo

    First and formost, I don't need to get into a slanging match by someone who hasn't much knowledge regarding terriers and working them underground. I can assure everyone on these forums that I have done and seen the the job first hand for more years than I can remember. For you to think that baying dogs have no place in the way that terriers work underground; you surely haven't experienced proper terrier work in the way that it should be conducted.     Why do you say its a sign of bad terrier work if a terrier takes a bit of stick in its work,not all terriers work like russells[not knocking russells] and also that if it does then its the way the terrier is handled.It is very easy to dig something that will sit and not push the terrier but when its a different story that the quarry will push try climbing over,anything in a bid to get by then your little sounder is in trouble,it will move with the quarry or let quarry by and if it dont bolt you are diging again,remember its the last 1ft or so that the presure is on,thats when you need a terrie

However, what did annoy myself was that all the things Bert did for him as to the regards of Drabbles Badger project, then Drabble shunned Bert at a country fair because he didn't want to be seen with a terrier man who had previously got him the Badgers for his Nature reserve. What an hypocrite! Also by Drabbles own admission, he, himself played a major part in the down fall of otter hunting and the otter hunting fraternity. There's where my ignorance takes over, I didn't know that. I always presumed it was the pollution problem and the voluntary ban, end of

    Local vet once told me the dirtier it is[shitty] the better it is for your dogs,i like to just rinse out the shit before feeding but nothing more than running the hose over it for a few seconds,never boil it,tried once when i was young in the kitchen of the mothers house,she nearly evicted both me and the dogs,smell lasted for days,lol.

    me pancreas packed in pal doctors told me if I drink again I could be brown bread , spent two weeks in hospital and 3 month out of work so had to be done Nice setup Scent,looks the buisness,done something simular myself last summer,dont find the money sliping away when your at it but worth it in the end.I can now go away with peace of mind knowing my dogs cant get out and it would be extremely hard to get in to rob them.

    He had his own site[countrywise] WISE been the key word as people needed to be wise to him.He also tried to start his own terrier club[countrywise]and in a very nice way said everyone that joined would pay a small regestration fee and then would be issued with the countrywise club badge which in turn would cost another £5 and the best part was that he still had lads crawling up his arse even though he was screwing them big time.He used the site to peddle everything from books,mags,badges,dogs,he was a con man,nothing more nothing less.

    Because it is a proven fact.Bluck had borders a few year back and started a border terrier club of his own but that did not last very long and the club and registration fees went belly up.He then when in the process of doing the irish book acquired a black dog of a man from ireland and within a year he claimed to have his own line of black dogs.He at the time of doing the book also brought out his on magizine but it also went belly up along with all the subs that were paid towards it.The last i heard of him he was now into russells,all this in the space of a few year,so make your own judgement
