  1. I read about this a few weeks ago, it might have been from yourself, so I thought I'd give it a go! First class bedding, highly recommended
  2. Nice and simple and I bet they are very comfortable in the hands. (perhaps not simple to carve!) What wood have you carved them from, and how long did each one take to do the heads?
  3. Out of all the random appearances of fox's I manage to bag, whilst out with a shotgun, most of them are whilst sitting quietly in a hide. The same goes for stoats as well. Well done, and its nice to see you slipped in the triple A, and didnt just blast it with 6's.
  4. Use it as per the instructions and it piece of cake, and very accurate in depth and location.

    few jokes

Excellent. I laughed until I stopped!
  6. Sort of agree, I only wear mine in extreme cold weather with a biting north wind.
  7. They so expensive because there are so many diehard, old in the tooth ferreters who wont change there ways. The Mk3 is an excellent bit of kit.
  8. Not just hunters but loads of people have been wearing them for years. Certainly since these last few winters. They make them out of all sorts of materials and are generally sold as "trapper" hats.
  9. I've got deben on my hmr, no issues with quality or build. Good bipod for the money and would buy another. I have no issues with my Harris either, depends whether you want to pay the extra.
  10. Would you trust Ray with your family Silver? A proper pair of likeable rogues I'd say!! Well done a good day.
  11. "Fairy tale of New York" as my favorite song. "Twas the night before Christmas" as my favorite for reading to the kids on Christmas eve, an old classic.
  12. The biggest problem is the farce of it all. A .22rf is suitable for foxes in certain circs, but if you can't get a cf because of the land, and rf is not allowed for fox, then you can legally take out a .410 loaded with 7 shot and shoot at a fox 40 yards away without breaking any law/conditions.! 1 injured fox guaranteed! Foxes in law are considered vermin, and fall under the legal definition of it. I.e. the dictionary definition of vermin. All that is required is common sense and a sense of respect towards the fox, by the firer. .......and of course I agree that a cf is better and
  13. I never knew him, but if his family read this site; May he rest in peace, and forever roam the fells.
  14. At least you have changed, your "SNITCHIES GET STITCHES" avatar.
  15. Getting back to the original post, I think it is unfair to put a post up that puts air gunners in a bad light, when we all know there are minorities in all sportsmen that ruin the good name of the sport. The chances are, the yobs responsible for the pellets, are not sporting shooters at all. I am not a dog man, but I do hunt with the hound. How did dog men get dragged into this one! Let's get real.
  16. I might be wrong, but I think it was "Export".
  17. Nice pics and some lovely land with those open warrens
  18. I see it that not everybody has a high skill level with a rifle/air rifle, and the user must know their, and their rifles limitations. Both types of shot have their limitations, and a squirrel with a busted jaw, or a crow with a smashed off beak are going to suffer equally if not far more than a gut shot animal. I dont think it is as easy as to say one is better than the other. As for the young bunnies bouncing around. One thing is for certain, they may not know they are dead, but they are just as dead as any other animal that is dead. They just react differently to the shot. Good interestin
  19. Another great avatar for THL !! Thank goodness we have a licensing system!
  20. Recently bought same scope with MDR, excellent quality, and good glass for the money.
  21. Lovely Kay. Nice Autumn skies, with subtle reflection.
