  1. ?... Good point... chances are the bridge is a hologram and Kiev had a fireworks display last night..you know that makes more sense.. ?
  2. Just a bit of piss taking mate.... it seemed pretty obvious to me it was retaliation for the bridge being blown up... I always bollock the Mrs for stating the obvious, just surprised at you for doing the same...??
  3. Just measured a massive floor deck over a underground garage...lovely place and the bloke is spending some money! overlooks Shaldon, so quick bit of grub over the bridge at Teignmouth before I head home..
  4. Got a small walnut tree here, had half a dozen or do off it the last few years... had 98 off it yesterday...daughters promised coffee and walnut cake..
  5. Watched True Romance (again) last night... Classic...
  6. There's about 12% asbestos in the roof sheeting mate, it is white asbestos (the "least" dangerous" you should wear the correct mask and suit when handling, cutting it. Only takes 1 fibre to stick in your lungs and there's a strong chance of cancer forming... lost a mate to asbestosis from working with roofing sheets, I think he was 50 when he died... We've stripped tons of it over the years, gung ho in the early days, shorts and t shirt no mask and covered in dust...f***ing idiots looking back...
  7. Funny that... we went for my wife's birthday, first time, late December ice rinks and Christmas vibes everywhere...it snowed so hard that our flight home was nearly cancelled, but in the city the snow ploughs were out straight away and it was "service as normal"... no f***ing about...seriously great place imo... we done snow balls on the pavements and the roads didn't stop...
  8. @dytkos @sid g What do you think, love it personally
  9. Filled a hole at dinner time...
  10. Got up to the Bronx for a couple of beers whilst Mrs was pissing about/getting done up in a make up shop... Would've liked to have got over to Brooklyn... Like you say, soak it up... its a bit different to any other City... What were you doing over there mate?
  11. Sounds like your in there mate... take her home for a look at the frog and some chick peas!!
  12. Isla wants to go now mate, I took Millie for her 18th but me and Marie had already done the main sight seeing stuff before, so had to do Empire State, Statue of Liberty etc again... I can't do it for a 3rd time!!! lol
  13. I went into a guitar shop somewhere under a bridge in Greenwhich village, spotted they were selling Manson guitars, they are made in Exeter in Mansons guitar shop (used by the likes of Matt Bellamy, muse)... got yapping to the lad in the shop, a New Yorker, he was in regular contact with a good old friend of mine who worked in Manson for years... was bizzare to stumble on a place and a person in New York that had such close links to my little town.... There a good music pubs around that area, not so glitzy and less bullshit, SeanC off here was telling me about a bar (I think called The Li
  14. Went to watch Dont worry Darling at the cinema with Mrs and Daughter last week... the main talk has been it is Harry Styles first film... but... it is dark, weird, sinister and has a decent twist, you know something is going on...but it is pretty messed up... me and my daughter had to explain it a few times to the Mrs afterwards she was head fried! Lol I compared to The Butterfly Effect, which I think is a decent film... its that weird twist scenario... Florence Pugh is the main actress and she is very good... Worth a watch
  15. Yeah watched that a while back and it was very good... same as you with Stephen Graeme, brilliant actor, back to his This is England days, great series that... jodie Comer is a class act as well...

So its not the King... who is it? And why? And whats Bob Marleys granddaughter wearing a white lives matter t shirt got to do with a phoney King wearing a mask ?? I know you give the nudge nudge, wink wink.. you either know or you don't reply... but I'd really like to know what this post is all about..
  18. Been a couple of times and really enjoyed it.. Ground Zero is a must imo... it is haunting! I prefer the down town areas, soho, Greenwich Village etc, Manhatan is a bit "too much".. There's a cracking walk around an old disused railway line, can't remember the name but is not such a tourist trap and feels "real NY".. The new trade centre is the best for views from the top imo, the lift up is mad... Grand Central is worth a quick look... the subway is easy to use.. Don't bother with taxis as you sit in traffic more than move... China Town for a meal...
  19. Its a rich man's market at the minute mate... Like you say, he is no mug for sure
  20. What's it, pay over £12k currently... I think you need to help at the bottom and top, encourage people to take a chance and earn more, but don't crucify the lower wage working man... I, like you, believe the petty nature towards the "rich" to be a cop out and easy point score for people with little aspirations or inferiority complex... Jukeks post about the plumber done good is what I love to hear...
  21. Got to be goat... Looks lovely
  22. I thought exactly that today driving home, heard the pound had recovered to 1.42 against the dollar and thought how many people must've "got on it" at its lowest and made a killing,... its easy money if you've got the money in the first place
