  1. We ferret the one at Plymouth, not done it for a couple of years but they've asked us back again this year.... loads on it as its fenced in and secure, had lots of plus 50 days best around 80... loads of netting and no good for running dogs.. Sorry Wyluke, I've no idea how to halt planning, being a pain in the ass for them will probably lengthen the time period and cost them a few quid, but the money in sustainable energy is immense and as we all know money talks!!
  2. Oh I know that mate... the comment was very tongue in cheek! Lol
  3. Don't worry mate... you'll be back down here in paradise soon enough! ?
  4. Can't have the lads thinking you can't do it anymore... but by f**k is my back killing!! Lol
  5. Beautiful morning overlooking the Teign estuary..
  6. I'm moving along quietly mate.. all good.. lol
  7. No mate, we fished another smaller lake on there a couple of times, but not back on the big syndicate lake... Shame as there was some lovely fish other than carp in there
  8. I'm not a brickie, so don't know, but thought the arches supported themselves once up.. I see what you mean about the mortar being weak though..
  9. Its listed mate, I think i may have to stay with wood... plus I'm not sure if PVC really fits the look of the place...
  10. A old football mate makes all bespoke wood windows, doors etc.. but its mental money... I just dont think ill get away with PVC on this one
  11. Yes they are currently mate, I changed them in the first cottage to aluminium and it looks decent. But i think ill have to stick with wood on this one, don't want the same sort of shit as these though!
  12. Waiting on Geth (White Van Man), and now the winds died down, but its stopped raining! Lol
  13. This is it, the bottom doors with arch will be expensive i reckon!
  14. I'm looking at having a few windows made in wood for a cottage here, 2 of them are arched type, the current ones are rotten so rip out and start again... was thinking oak, but will look at alternatives now I think
  15. Not really mate, there's 17 acres here but 4.5 acres is woods, so only 2 bigish fields and a couple of small fields... pretty hilly and not ideal for lamping... had a few bits off it in the day and night though... accidents happen when your walking the dogs.. ?? Ive got permission on a fair bit up the road spread over 3 farms, only 10 minutes or so so head up there tonight for a look
  16. Wet! On site today... going lamping later so will be wet again tonight...Mrs thinks I'm mental lol
  17. I've used that osmo oil on all of the internal wood here, my mates a chippy and said it is the bollocks... Not used it on any external wood though (oh 1 oak lintel)...
  18. Was only taking the piss mate..?
  19. Mate i don't know all the ins and outs of benefits, lest of all immigrants benefits... But.... id bet my left nut that these lads travelling thousands of miles, crossing the Channel on a dinghy and spending all of their savings for the privilege, aren't doing it to come here for no reward... some may well go into full time work, pay the sane taxes as the rest of us, legitimately rent or buy a place, pay all the bills off there work earnings, integrate into the local community and be an asset to that community and the UK in general...but... I reckon a lot more will be making money other wa
  20. On the last note, Sweden, France, Germany all have huge problems... the outcome is the same if you continue to let unvetted young male immigrants into your countries... Refugees fleeing war torn countries should be supported, I would hope my wife and children would have a safe haven should the need arise... but these are not refugees, they are economic migrants...fine for people to improve their life but there must be a process in place so the migrant and the country benefits... currently there is only 1 winner...
