    have you ever heard a starling screaming when a sparrowhawk gets one ... its a long death , i saw one grab a jackdaw they fought for ages ,the jackdaw eventually flew off followed by the hawk , i know which one will survive

    one of my very greatest friends is a polish lad , he has better virtues of decency & honesty that would shame many english folk , his father in poland & many others are like us they practice catch & release , not all are bad ,in fact i wish more of us had his values , i take him with me on the local river here he will not take a life of either animal bird or fish ,he is a credit to his country , as for paying to fish ,which i have done too many times , i have found some great fishing on my doorstep & its all free except for the EA license ,which is cheap enough , still cant

    great pics paulus but im afraid im not a sparrowhawk lover ,they decimate the birds on my feeders ,one even pulled a canary through my aviary mesh !!!!!! how the hell it did it i dont know ,best BOP i ever saw was,when i was waiting for fox cubs to come out of a bigrock pile one evening ,i was lying in some heather under cover with the gun trained on the pile ,watching a wheatear bobbing about a few feet away from me ,when a merlin hit it , awesome to see its the only merlin i have ever seen that day & since , a great moment for me (not the wheatear lol )

    i carry a camo rucksack & put the rabbits in that when shot it balances well on my back & i can take other shots , but only when theres a few in it ,after that i have to take it off to shoot , i usually gut them as i shoot them to keep weight down (its washable inside )
