  2. is it just the lamp no battery?
  3. im after a small lamp to have a crack on some small fields with my dog, dont know much about make or models, just want a cheap to reasonably priced lamp and battery, can be second hand but dont want any dodgy DIY wiring. could pick up also within reasonable distance of Skipton. cheers.
  4. Did you need to ask that question mate have you never seen a rabbit like that
  5. kin ell.... johnny with a shovel in his hand looked a good day, is that a racecourse?
  6. whats that big white thing at back? good going like the look of your blue dog. that fawn dog looks like a big version of my bitch.
  7. massive price difference, i know it shouldnt have a bearing but some ped whippets are close on £500...... and i like a rough coat and the look of them really.
  8. like your little pack of terriers mate, well done.
  9. how do you split a web on sand? is it a common injury? how does it occur?
  10. i had a pair a while back, they are good they dont need a big pond just somewhere to dunk their heads, make any bare soil 3 inches in mud though and shit like fountains. can be quite skitty also.
  11. skinned rabbit, chicken carcasses, hearts, waste like windpipe, bit of liver, frozen left over veg, i freeze it in bags if there's any left over after a meal, boiled brown rice, stale brown bread, and anything else i dig out of the freezer within reason, fill the freezer up with it all, then defrost and put through the mincer and frozen in portions. easy as piss defrost in fridge over night and feed at tea time. i think shes doing great on it and its amazing the reduction in the amount of shit compared to biscuit.
  12. the farm my uncle works on is keepered, they will try and destroy the rabbit population for no good real reason, then the birds will get hammered. the years they have left the rabbits along more or less the birds have been more or less left alone....
  13. i went ferreting today saw more hare and deer than rabbits, good job i got a beddy whippet
  14. sometimes i think about being an anti, as its easier sitting in the warm looking on facebook than going out in the cold ferreting....
  15. hold by legs with head one the floor, broom hand over the neck, foot on each side of the handle, stamp on one side, pull by the legs until you feel it give. you dont need or want to be cutting the skin, and if you don't know what your doing with a knife its gonna end in a cruel blood bath tbh. and it stays clean as the gap created between the broken neck bone is handy as it creates a gap to collect all the blood cleanly.
  16. get him to bring a pup on, that feeling when it catches its first bunny is unreal. get a bond with it
  17. what cross is it? looks like you had a reet good do

  19. Im predicting a 141 this week... lol. maybe 142 if i take my dog aswell.. Maybe you should invite Cookie and see what his Curs could add to the Pot. .But he would'nt come he will be way too busy purse netting his big 500 hole warrens Yeh 200 southern shandy drinking rabbits,, most of them are welsh,, bet you can tell the difference when you come north,,, lol All joking aside last week me and vin went out to east anglier , had 18 lamping and they were far smaller than those brutes from the dales,, and they seemed in poor nick as well as being small. Mind they still ran like
  20. keep them, they should provide sport to your little whippet x bitch you posted?
  21. my bitch tried to jump sheep netting fence with 2 strands of barbed wire at the top, jumped the netting and bashed her face into the barbed wire full on, dont know how she didnt blind herself never mind not a cut, managed to get over though
  22. id like the right sort of pure collie bitch, use her for ferreting and mooching and then put a proven coursing type dog over her to make my own type of collie crosses. just an dream for now but one day i will
  23. so they throw to the collie there no good for lurcherwork?, what about ferreting?, longnetting?, general mooching?, a dog throwing to a collie is a better candidate for genuine lurcherwork than half the racy dogs out there which would be kept alive due to looks aloneI've seen heavily built dogs lamping hours after there racy counterparts are exhausted, it's a good man that can look at a young pup and predict it's capabilities as an adult. Going with the amount of lurchers in rescues and failures in general your arguement doesn't hold water. i dont know feck all about collie crosses or
