In the same boat , working on a yard as a Groom/Handyman/Caretaker, I only work 35 hours a week at just above minimum wage, I do anything I can, I used to do turkey's and trees at Christmas, Firewood in the winter, Mole trapping which I was not very good at, making bird boxes, rabbit hutches, ferret boxes, the odd brace of rabbits or a brace of table-ready ducks at the local pub. If you have the get up and go, and a money making head, then you will always find work, help's if you can do a few things, the next thing I want to learn is making purse nets, also would love to learn leather work

No he's saying that people who say "salukis have no brain" have not got a brain. Not people who don't own salukis. Salukis are far far from thick! So true mate , I like collie crosses they are great but I prefer my saluki crosses just my preference , and when people say they don't have brains makes me laugh as they are far from thick , I've a pup here 3/4 saluki grey he's been the easiest to train out of all my dogs , and tbh I'd like a collie blooded Lurcher later on if I could pull myself away from saluki crosses how many saluki x's have you got? one? not a broad spectr

the extra cost of off heat poults would be offset against the cost and effort of sorting a draught free brooder and heat lamp/heat source and light out, that would make it more expensive.... unless of course you could adopt them under A broody hen??? oh yes sorry i forgot about that most convenient technique.... what do you think the chances would be of adopting them under a hen? I reckon if you get the right hen, she would readily take them. that hen would be one in 500 probably, they have to be as young as possible for it to work, even wih young chickens. even then the

A lot of men used that shredded j-cloth for bedding. thing with the likes of that and paper it soaks up the water and stays damp but with the plastic it just runs off I thought that was the idea, then you replaced it with fresh bedding??? but with this wonderful british weather we have and % of the time its raining you'd have to change it everyday some weeks where in the kennel are you using it? in the run, i dont bother putting anything down, i just wash out daily with a mixture of jeyes fluid and boiling water, but for bedding, surely its roofed in, so why would t

lab x collie -
i can squeeze them down and if a leg gets grabbed it swallows the whole thing..... dont know if my bunnies were big or not but they were full grown..... i know what i did.......

could use plywood, but due to the height of the birds it would have to go a fair way up the door as they are quite tall, so block out a bit of light... and there is only one window in the shed. i want something clear ideally just for the light. the internal divider is solid, and i dont have any free ranging birds, not even young birds so scraps arent an issue.
-
they are shape of flypens. basically a 6 x 8 garden shed split down the middle with two internal wire doors, then the main shed door. shed is shut every night and opened every morning, want draught excluder during day as there is little air flow with shed door shut. shaped like flypens, but used for all different stages. i planned to take it off for spring summer put it on with tie wraps so can even just put it on on a windy day without much hassle.

Thought the advert said.............................would do rabbits if chopped up. I dont think you would get a whole rabbit through that little hole, maybe a tiddler you can squeeze half rabbs through and if you can get a leg, you can put whole rabbs through..... in the rest gets dragged in how ever big it is...... what is the picture trying to prove?

i think he means to let light still in, but keep draught out, but be wary, they can make pens heat up like greenhouses!!! That's what I mean mate, no good, way to hot for the birds in the summer, if your pens are made correctly they will be light and airy enough. they are light and airy enough, just too draughty and i dont want them to be draughty. and still want light to be let in, im not going to cover the whole door in it, will still have air circulation. thats what i wanted to know about the corrugated perspex, its too hot, thought it would be but didnt know. will have a gan

is that the stuff that looks like corrugated cardboard in structure?
-
i want to use some sort of clear sheteting on some wire hut doors to stop drafts, is that clear corrugated sheeting decent? does it magnify the heat like on a greenhouse? i saw some clear perspex type sheeting on a video, but cant find any like it, only the really expensive perspex used for furniture? anyone any ideas or suggestions? got to look smart, dont want it to look cobbled together. cheers
