  1. I have no idea of gundogs springers etc, but she is steady, without relying on what to be told too much but still is obedient and recall is excellent, im talking out of my arse really but id definelty have one like her for mooching around. im always telling him to put a greyhound over it, and she is fit at fook and racy as well, not like some fat ones.
  2. you have a point. i have a point. lets leave it there, and i will admit i should never of mentioned it, but i did and i guess it bothered me you saw it as wrong.
  3. my freinds racy lab, (which i think has pointer in it ) is a fantastic dog for mooching/ferreting on the hills/dale, shame he beats with it and has to hold it back from the rabbs. i think they would be a great cross theoretically.
  4. hate these little shitty types of belgian bantams.... wouldnt mind them its just they always spoil them by feathered legs and beards and some other features.... i like a chicken to look like a chicken, nothing personal
  5. i knew that, didnt want to publicise it, but he got me riled and i had to finish. lol
  6. i think you are thinking that i dont look after these ferrets properly.... i didnt look after these ferrets to any lower standard than the workers.... my ferrets are in the best of health, have a completely fresh natural diet with stimulation and clean bedding..... its not about me not caring about my ferrets, its simply the fact that where working animals are concerned there are always going to be culls, and anyone with any knowledge of the countryside and what it involves would understand that. in my opinion i did the right thing by culling the animals rather than passing them on, where they
  7. Off to the biggest Derby in England today...... Burnley vs Blackburn... COME ON YOU CLARETS!

  8. i chin them uns my ole wrists aintwhat they used to be wi my muscles, on the big ones its either chin then 6 times or struggle stretching the neck, cant win em all
  9. its the size of the head that amazes me on the big ones, some of them hardly have a neck to pull on, tek some killing.
  10. unlucky mate, but a good bag. but i know that id rather take my little bitch out at every possibility than have to sit her at home, after all thats the reason she is here and the reason i keep her. how tall and heavy is jed? ive wondered for a while if bigger larger dogs are more prone to injury on this terrain due to the weight they have to carry, as my tiny bitch has run over some shit that makes me wince, but she just bounces off it and flies over it. hope he makes a good recovery, but at least he did it doing something he enjoys and what he was bred for. atb
  11. they were 2 fat useless jills. they were bullying and starving the working jills. the 2 animals with a job are the most important. its what happens in the working animal world, on farms etc, cows that dont give milk go into kebabs, no which way about it. what do you want me to do? give them to a rescue centre or sell them to some p***y who will f**k around with them? nah thanks i bred them i owe them more than that. they died painlessly. fuk off with your duty of care, my animals my responsibility, which doesnt involve passing them around like a parcel. i dont keep passengers. nowadays rabbits
  12. i mince my own, and i made a batch that was 100 meat/chicken/rabbit carcass, and then did a batch with a percentage of carrots, brown bread, and left over rice in, and the dog was a lot more "right" on the meat diet, she felt and looked a lot better. she looks good on the veg inc diet, but not with that refinement of the meat diet. its all about what works for your dog.
  13. buy a canal boat, lamp and an allround lurcher. leep a few chickens on the roof on the roof of the boat.
  14. the statement still stands, and the majority of hunting is killing healthy animals. rabbits are rarely a pest recently as they are not really found in large enough numbers to be, so i guess you disagree with ferreting as a whole?
  15. no amount of care or handling is going to make them work better, you cant "resolve" a ferret not willing to work..... in my opinion my duty of care was reached as i didnt pass the problem on
  16. because they didnt work. im responsible for them, i bred them and aquired them, so im responsible for what happened to them. if they died painlessly which they did, whats the problem?
