    Having not had the ferrets for a good few years im struggling to get a good routine of counting out and back in the nets,ive lost a lot of nets the last couple of seasons,Not only have i had some of these for years but also dont like leaving them about.Just wondering what you do to keep it to a minimal?

    honest post mate, prob for me getting another 2nd dog .My pup ok never going to be like Bryn regards catching rabbits, but Bryn hard act to follow for (any) lurcher really, and my pup seems bit on the sensitve side might be his age 6 months old, or his temp coming through, you got to treat him really with kid gloves ,or its no good. No i think prob its my age 60 now, that maybe i should have finished with Bryn, as working a lurcher (proper) i think you got to fit+ young to give and get the best out of them, not saying you got to be 20 years old lol , but the older you get it does get harder

    I use a seat belt stitched in a loop good for 20 thats enough to carry any way.

    Never had that problem with poly,But yes i have some 10z nylon and there good,There again i have allsorts they all have there place including 4z.Even have one i picked up years ago made of wool.

    Not trying to be a asshole but did you not look at he`s content?I rarely go on the for sale section but when ever i did bradus was on there,and if it was a dog wanted he`s cousin had just what you were looking for,Would have surely set alarm bells of? Any way hope the bitch was lucky and got SOLD to a genuine home.

    I agree with that,If your were out mooching it could happen,But then Ive seen them somehow dodge the first couple of strikes and get running. But if you have a dog who can only catch a hare by exhausting it is that a true test? If id had to have one or the other id rather have a dog to mug the odd one out the seat.

    If a dog cannot catch it in 5 minutes do`s it not deserve to get away The catch at all costs just dont sit right with me. I can appreciate the feat that is a dog running that long but...... Funny thing is if a lad took his rabbiting dog and let it hunt up he would still be doing well to catch1 -3 yet he would get slatted by the coursing lads. Ive seen salukis catch 2/3 of one slip end up in another parish but where they any good.

    The lad that sold the dog might not of known, dogs are brought or given to a "good home" to be sold on again. He started a thread asking where to get a dog last month all advice was to take your time,buyer beware and all that,no helping some lads. This lad don't even have the money to have a dog treated at a vet yet,lads are all ready finding him a new one. If theres such thing as reincarnation id rather come back as a fox than a dog ,especially a lurcher.

    The real lesson in this is what happens,When lurchers get past from one place to the next,treated like a toy or a fast buck ,If you already have a pup you would be better of concentrating on that rather than getting another.Making it into the dog you want,much better than fu***ng around with other peoples cast offs.For you and defiantly the dog

    One thing for sure get nothing done on here,Get your self to a pdsa or of to a vet. Lads asking who has a new pup to give him it wouldnt last a week after parvo in the house.

    How can you copy a collar. its a strap that go`s around a dogs neck .Go into any pet store theres loads of nylon collars are they all copying ss. I Would have thought if you honestly thought your work was being copied,You would take it as complement and carry on making sure yours is better than the rest,Throwing you toys out the pram bitching on here ,reporting people to tax man? Just makes you look petty. I have a ss collar here not a big 2" wide thing its just another collar don't really see the big deal,I wouldn't buy another just because i haven't liked some of the things said on here t

    Will a dog yap if it is badly matched with another dog when running, by that i mean if another dog is faster and takes quarry first? as i seem to find thats the pattern i get. i once had a dog get bit pre ban too and it jumped out and yapped ever since. If i wanted a dog to yap i would take it out to young with a faster dog.

    Ive seen greyhounds yap wearing muzzles,plus they do it out of frustration, surely it would be more frustrated if it gets to summit and cannot pick it up.

    Has giro said always the same really even with the fox hounds,Normally the lads who know f**k all about hunting. Theres so many lads hunting at the moment though,That even friendly farmers are getting feed up,Plus then you have the internet showing things that people would have never thought of.
