Why are they miles away? If you want an example of a suffering population, I looked it up and as of August last year there were 67 breeding pairs of sea eagles which means if one pair is wiped out, meaning it could just be one bird killed that couldn't find a partner that equals about 1.5% of the entire UK population. In terms of genetic diversity that is catastrophic, what would you think is the right number to be given permission by pheasant shooters to exist? There are also 140,000 red squirrels left in the UK, so should be wait until there are less than 67 pairs before wondering they m

He wants the countryside to be sterile of everything that's a threat to the most dumbest bird on earth. I honestly don't think he sees the irony in his logic. Lets save the fauna but kill sea eagles HAW HAW HAW fkn classic That's what I want is it? Funny because that's not what I've f*****g wrote ya daft twat...... Baw you're really not intelligent enough to see how shooting and conservation can go hand in hand! Have you ever killed a pest? I suspect you possibly have........... Balance is what's needed and a bit of sensible thinking, but no bollocks to any sense and logic, lets hat

We don't need to shoot birds to burn heather. No we don't, but the fact is the industry pays the wages of the people that do! % of British woodland is shot over, I wonder who manages all that? I wonder who controls the corvid numbers and what birds that benefits? I wonder who controls predators and what birds that benefits? I wonder who puts 100s of tons of feed out in these areas and what that benefits? I f***ing WONDER?

Ratreeper stop being so f*****g ignorant! The examples you gave are miles away from releasing pheasants! Just because people want the right to control birds of prey doesn't mean the populations are gonna suffer in anyway. The game shooting industry does more for british fauna than you bitching twitchers do. And the industry IS NO DIFFERENT to other bussiness! The government gives certain freedoms to all other industry where it can to support them. FFS should the right to control foxes rabbits and pigeons be taken away from farmers too? Ya know because if they can't manage to make the b

Imagine if that'd have been a young child.............. Protected or not, the f***ing thing would've been rat fodder if that happened in my back yard. They may be protected by law, but a mans family are protected by him!

Ridiculous Sign Against Hare Coursers
Born Hunter replied to beast's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Newark Nottinghamshire??? I've seen the signs....................... equally I've seen the hare carcasses scattered about and the unmarked police cars pulling folks after the transit vans have been and gone! -
Thanks for agreeing with me mate but got to distance myself from the rest of your post we have enough problems in this country with semi tamed foxes biting babies etc cos of folk feeding them. Imagine what it would be like with semi tame wolves!!!! And then imposing a rule that they are not to be controlled by lethal means no matter the reason! The f***ing mind boggles! Infact, it's just plain animal rights radicalism!

Oh my god! Where to begin.................. nah I'll just not bother!

@ Scot. Biology ain't my thing mate, your safe.......

I support the science but it's moving further and further away from nature, evolution and natural selection............... that I'm uncomfortable with! For lack of a better expression, 'we're playing god'. Mother nature has no malice or agenda, just a simple set of rules that are applied across the board. If we completely leave the natural way and dictate our own evolution, do we really trust the person making the decisions? The science is interesting but the philisophical implications are greater imo.

Doesn't really prove alot who won. There will be bog standard British Army troops that could have put that septic on the canvas in the first round. Boxing and killing are two different games. The only thing being ex SAS gives you is you've proven you have mental and physical 'grit'. The Brit just overwhelmed the septic marine with power and aggression. Doesn't really say much about either military unit though....

Paulus, you're a f***ing liability man! God alone knows how you got into your position of power! LOL

So nobody phoned in with the most important question of all then?................. Can a bull cross manage nelly single handed or do ya need a brace of beddy whippets? Edit: pipped at the post by Tomo by 1 minute! LOL

Bushing can be such a varied type of hunting, the land, the quarry, the dogs, the person are all variables. For instance, if you were going out for a fox would you approach things the same as if you were going out for a rabbit? What type of land would you prefer for each? What dogs would you take if you had the choice? What do you want out of the day? Bushing can be hunting up rough ground purely with a brace of lurchers and a stout stick, hunting tight brambles and hedges with a terrier and a sharp lurcher or knocking large thorns and spinneys through for fox, muntjack or roe.............
-
Dare I say it.................. as great as lamping and knocking thorns out from September to March is, I often get a fair bit of enjoyment out of spring and summer mooches about with the lurcher, terrier and gun checking traps and catching the odd bit of something. Nothing too serious, just keeping tabs on the land, knocking over what predators/egg thieves I can and maybe come home with the odd tastey snack. Keeps me and the dogs sane! I'm practicaly a summer hunter, I admit it!

Somebody put a youtube link up a few months back now showing the 'continentals' working their teckels on large game to the rifle. From what I recall, a deerstalker looking chap quietly approached a wood then loosed his teckel which promptly legged it (with a speed that defied it's stature) and screamed like hell through the mature woodland eventually flushing a roe which was shot by the rifleman. Tbh I've been quite impressed with the videos I've seen, they seem cracking little hounds and very capable, though I'd say a spaniel would be better suited to most in the UK.

Dealing with customer services! Men on the whole are far too passive to get anywhere with arsehole service people, it's either begrudgingly tollerant or "I'm coming across this desk to kill you you b*****d!!!", no firm middle ground. Women however have the fine skill of getting exactly what they want with the "You make me suffer so I'm gonna make your life hell untill I get what I want" routine. They have absolutely no shame in making a hell of a scene with a non compliant bank clerk or shop assistant.
-
Likewise! Seems they are carrion feeders but are quite adept at forcing buzzards off of a kill and as a result the buzzard has to kill again. Tbh I can't see kites being much of an issue.

Hey, look at that baw, democracy and polling works! I wonder if we would have gotten a bushing section faster if we had all refused to vote for it.......... -
Guess that as the water in the beer turned to ice it expands forcing some of the beer out. Thing is, ice doesn't cause that much of an expansion. As that little youtube clip pip put up shows. Just curious that it made a mess......
-
Well, ya cocky lab loving twat I genuinely couldn't put my finger on the answer. Walshie is correct though. Not sure what caused the beer to spill though....

11 year old girl raped by a known sex offender. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-22810180 "grabbed her and took her to a secluded part of the park where he forced a glove into her mouth before raping her during a three-hour attack." The public will never be safe from this animal. Just euthanise it.
