  1. With respect, its sort of one of them questions which says more about the person asking, one day you may realise the answer. What is the answer? I'm asking because I can't see any answer other than you're the sort of person that wants dogs to bait an animal and then release it to be baited again. If it needs digging then dig it and kill it. If it doesn't need removing then leave it alone. Should I take bunnies out of my lurchers mouth and set them free for him to run them again? If you're that worried about being able to find game to get another dig or wiping out a local population,
  2. Max, Personally I don't think you have to follow a religion to have good values. The days of ultimante religous reign in this country were some of the worst we have ever seen. I visited Southwell Minster Cathedral yesterday, loved it and felt moved by the grandure of the architecture and it's significance as a part of British history, heritage and culture but no way would I feel right going there regularly as a firm athiest. It'd feel like a lie. IMO what we have lost is values and community, religion isn't needed for that. Christianity is part of our heritage, but I have no place in '
  3. Their names may be forgotten in time but their collective actions will never be.
  4. P, my interpretation of the hunting act in this case is that it is perfectly legal to use up to two dogs to hunt a wounded animal. But you must make every effort to dispatch it as quickly and humanely as possible, if that is with a dog/dogs then that is perfectly legal.
  5. Been hit and miss here. Seems the weekends are pretty decent and the weekdays are pretty shit.
  6. Lab, would it make you feel better if max said swear allegieance to Scotland/England/Wales/NI (delete as apllicable)? Which in essence is GB but saves you Scots pride. LOL
  7. You're right. What I meant was, I thought the RN are gearing a number of F-35 fighters towards air superiority and a number towards ground attack? The RAF will be using the F-35 to replace our existing Tornadoes (I was brought up seeing these roar by most weeks!) that forefill the ground attack role but I didn't know if they will be doing the same as the RN and having a number for air superiority as well. It's neither here nor there tbh, just wondered.
  8. Yeah, as that very interesting article explained, stealth ain't all that! Either way, my point being our carrier airwing is based on arguably the most deadly fighter in the skies. As an air superiority fighter, we will have the choice of either RN F-35s or the RAF Typhoons (are the RAF having F-35 fighters or just F-35 ground attack?).
  9. That bold bit is true, but once the Typhoon steps inside the zone and goes toe to toe with it in a good old fashioned dogfight with cannons, things get a whole lot more interesting! Read somewhere a while back that German Typhoons more than held their own in mock dogfights with the F22 when they encountered each other somewhere. I guess the argument would be, the F-22 wouldn't be seen untill it was too late with it's stealth capabilites but I have read the same with regards performance of the two aircraft. It'd be nice to see the results of some proper war games......
  10. Malts covered most of Your questions Tomo. I'll just add my bit. F-35 Joint Strike Fighter will be the Royal Navys new carrier air wing. It's a state of the art next generation fighter that is sort of a smaller more versatile version of the Yanks F-22 Raptor that is the single most deadly fighter in the world today! They're the 'harriers' of the new carriers. Type-45 destroyer is our new fleet of RN Destroyers. They are the single most advanced air defence destroyer in the world. Nothing even the yanks have can match it! The effectiveness has led to the yanks wanting them as part of th
  11. The bottom line you talk about also applies to Muslims being threatened in thier own lands or is it double standards dont do as I do but do as I say To be frank, I don't really care about other nations, just my own. Double standards or not......... But isn't that kinda how war works? Two groups dissagree on who's wrong and end up fighting? It's just life.............. like i said, bottom line, whether we are in the wrong or not, threats will be dealt with swiftly. The same applies from the Muslim stand point also like the threats to Iran coming from various world policemen especi

  13. Yeah, the contract was for two Queen Elazabeth class carriers to be named HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales. Due to finances though I believe the Prince of Wales will just sit at Port as a back up! Can you imagine two 21st century British Carrier Battle groups cutting Blue water side by side with Types 45s, Type 26s and Astute class SSNs............... Rule Britannia! We need this to be a truly independant island nation.
  14. Nail on the head Malt. This Islamic terrorist threat essentially comes down to the state of Israel............ but the story goes back further than that and further than that. It's so old it's all been forgotten about it time. People don't always get on and all sorts of shit happens as a consiquence, it's just life. It's interesting from a historical point but in terms of foreign policy and national security I really don't give a shit. We did this, they did that...................... here's the bottom line, threaten us with violence with whatever justification and we'll deal with it in a manor
  15. Malt, I've made a promise to myself to get down to Portsmouth and see the HMS Queen Elizabeth when she's ready and kitted out with F-35s. These may be Britians last true carriers and I don't want to miss it! At some point I will go and see one of these Type-45s too, they're amazing bits of kit. I did a weeks sonar course not long ago and there was a focus on Astute class SSNs and military hardware, got to see a few bits brought in by guest lecturers from various defence companys, those few bits managed to keep me awake between the relentless mathematics! LOL GTE, I think part of the troubl
  16. Yeah, gonna be a while until we see one of them though. The naval fleet is moving away from the sub hunting cold war stuff to a more versatile fleet with a strong emphasis on missile/fighter defence and ground attack capabilities in line with modern requirements. I'm genuinely excited in a very nerdy way!
  17. The worlds most advanced and capable anti air destroyer.... One of the few things that makes me proud to be British. The UAF won't stand a chance! LOL
  18. In my opinion it's an intelligent move! It's following the words of their leader and giving them the credibility they need.
  19. Of course......... you watch how fast them lot get knocked out of production when the UAF are working there way across Europe. Mark my words! LOL
  20. I can't get the battle of britain music out of my head now!
  21. If it was the same type of war as we faced in wwii sadly i think you are right.we would be bitching like f**k,the first time the luftwaffe took out a mobile phone mast lolbut there still a part of me thinks if our backs were against the wall.we would come good.lets face it you would just f*****g need to or perish.better to be defeated and killed than live in occupied slavery.or you could be like france with that famous backbone and colliberate. I genuinely believe that if we were faced with a situation like WW2 again things would be no different. We would fight and succeed because we wouldn
  22. Oh right, no not them, I'll not name the company but they are not a defense specialist company. This technology is an offshoot from their industrial analysis and theoretical background.
  23. I'll need a bit more than that Paulus.................... EWS? Explosive weapons sensor?
  24. These types of thread are great, you'll get every predator possible mentioned!
