Gave me a cou

That's how I imagine retirement Stig. I don't think I ever want to properly retire, but it would be nice to 'retire' but still do a bit of something I enjoy for myself and to hopefully turn over

  6. Apparently a single cell storm will burn out in about half an hour but multi-cell storm will go on untill all the cells have burnt out. It's literally just turned to night here at work! Everybody has just been raving, never ever seen the daylight dissapear like that to almost complete darkness! f***ing weird!
  7. Right or wrong that took bollocks! And the largest land mammal on the planet was found lacking. Foooking mental!
  8. That chap really loves his Toaster! Full overhead throw, very commited!
  9. As I've said, the Royals DO NOT completely control the finances of the Crown Estate, so they can't just dip into the pot of profit as and when they want to like any other businessman could. So IF they do need/want a few quid to buy peasants to burn to heat the castles then they have to ask those that do control the finances............... the Treasury. That doesn't mean that they take more than they give now does it as you seem to imply?
  10. I don't want you to do anything. Your telling me that the tax payer keeps the Royals, I'm telling you we don't. I couldn't give a toss who you bear ya arse to.
  11. I believe the Crown Estate PROFIT is around £200M anually so no I don't think they are gonna go bust! There is some Controversy between the actual cost all in and the Crown Budget but you prove it's greater than the Crown Estate profit minus their budget and I'll take you seriously. Besides I thought you were too busy for all this?
  12. The Crown Estate! A few hundred years ago the Royal Family gave up the responsibility and rights of running their own finances and put HM Gov in charge. So they get a budget from the government each year, which is accumulated through our complex tax system..................... Which the Crown Estate contributes a shit load more to than it takes out.
  13. Oh pull the other one, the royal family keep themselves to my knowledge. Financially the country would be worse without them. And whether or not you like it by definition she is your Queen. She ain't my queen if you want to believe in all that shite that's up to you. But don't sit their and say to me she's my queen, you can believe and think what the f**k you like, and so can I. You're right, she ain't your queen, her grandmother in law is! Look Grant, I'm not 'believing' anything other than the facts, and these aren't the opinions that so many on here seem t

  15. All the best Johnny! Outside possibility you'll have them on the same day mate, be some sort of commemoration if they are.
  16. I meant the whole of the UK. For that matter all 16 of the states that recognise Queen Elizabeth II as their Monarch.
  17. No she's not, quite right, and I have the utmost respect for all women carrying and giving birth to a child. But with the significance of this one to some, I just wanted to mark the event with an appropriate thread.
  18. Only type of labour she's likely to experience. Not a Royalist then Jock? I'm sure she'll pull her weight for our country.
  19. Like you say Bird, the Royals pay their own way so not sure what band wagon? Anyway, it hasn't done either Harry or Wills any harm has it? Two thoroughly decent men and representatives of our country imo.
  20. About the same chance of me giving birth to a brown fella with a turban..............
  21. Vans are great, but cost more to insure and more to tax. I'd favour an estate or large hatchback over a van these days. my berlingo is only 130 a year to insure, the tax is 220 ish Is that with Coffin Dodger Insurance Ltd? That's fair enough but for younger drivers a car derived van will be two or three hundred a year more to insure and the tax is silly. For instance a 1.6CDTi Fiesta Sport Van is £215 a year to tax compared to £30 a year for the exact same Fiesta Car. All in it's a big saving for a younger driver.
  22. Well the Dutchess of Cambridge is in labour with our future constitutional Monarch. I wish her all the best and I'm sure her husband and Prince will be very supportive. A special moment for them and us as a nation. Keep it civil chaps. ahem...... national holiday yeah?

  24. How does a 1.2i kill you on petrol? I'd be looking at a 1.7TDi estate, about 100bhp and 50mpg. You'll fit a couple of lurchers in the boot of a standard hatchback Astra/Focus no bother as well. The smell's a ball ache but just sheet it up well and clean regular.

If somebody told you you were going to die at the age of 38 can you think of a much better way to go? Beautiful week of friends and family and instant end. I can only imagine how it must feel and that's not gonna make it any easier but just my thoughts. My thoughts are with his family.
