  1. 50 quid a badger is a hell of a mark up from what they have been paying up till now.
  2. Thought this was quite surprising. https://uk.reuters.com/article/us-apps-sweden-commentary/commentary-why-neutral-peaceful-sweden-is-preparing-for-war-idUKKCN1IV27N Can you imagine if the UK Gov' did that? The message that would send out? The only time our lot want to release a brochure is when they're concerned we might not vote the way we're supposed to...
  3. You look at hobbies and interests to see that the applicant isn't a wierdo. Depending on the position this part of a CV differs in it's weighting. For a mid career, professional position it's not really important. For a youngster with little actual life/career experience to refer to they can go into more details about how their interests and hobbies have been beneficial in developing professional skills. Personally I don't see the need or benefit of putting potentially controversial stuff on a CV. My hunting and shooting ain't at all going to be part of my job unless I happen to have coll
  4. Yeah, some cases of unfairness can and probably should be addressed, some would ideally be addressed but are impossible and some should just be left the f**k alone because the cost to the results are unacceptable. What we're also seeing is stuff being addressed in a bad way.
  5. Regarding modern attempts at improving fairness in society, which is fundamentally what these issues are about. Like in the picture below, we have to accept that some demographics and some individuals in society are born into privilege. For whatever reason, environmental, social or genetic, they have an easier time. Just like in the picture below, the individuals height is a privilege or it is a handicap. I think it's important first that every side of this modern debate accept that as a fact! Do we really want to live in a world where everyone is perfectly equal? For instance, there are
  6. Aye, but I've not really bought it as a waterproof jacket, just a fair weather outer. Certainly worth maintaining the DWR though. The other actual waterproof jackets have a waterproof membrane so the DWR only acts to enhance breath-ability by stopping 'wetting out'. I'd always buy a GoreTex or similar lined jacket if I wanted proper waterproofing.

  8. I think your iliotibial band fascia runs down the outside of your leg and is felt as pain on the outside of your knee. I might be mistaken.
  9. I agree mate and understand. I just think we have a really good set of democratic value to protect liberty, equality and justice that we need to protect that as strongly as anything. Tommy essentially abused the same values he’s trying to protect. I do believe that the establishment are out to silence him but at the same time we gotta follow those Western priciples we hold dear. It’s those that any tyrant, Islamic or otherwise, wants to take.
  10. You're wasting your breath mate. The principles of free speech, justice, due process, etc etc only seem to apply in the layman's head when it suits sadly. That ain't directed at anyone particularly. Simply a concerning observation. What TR is doing is fundamentally good in its intention and I'd say is making a difference. Its a small revolution. But we maintain certain principles in the West for a reason... "baby with the bathwater"
  11. You have to get to them early for many reasons...
  12. 70 quid a slab for average stuff.
  13. Top tip; I keep a bowsaw and hatchet in the boot for such opportunities. Did you at least take the backstraps off?
  14. Pros and cons. First off I like it and will happily continue to use it, the no frills simplicity is why i bpught it. Set up like it is there isnt the best for sustained rain, as i found out laying in a puddle, lol. A small basher over head end would be best. Its waterproof enough but suffers a bit from condensation. Comfy as f**k with the 5cm foam matress but that makes it roll up too big to be hiking far with. Loads of room inside, too much for me really but then ya can use all that room to pull ya bag and shit in. Was really nice setup as a lean too, rather than a bivy bag, more air flow. Ad
  15. I bet a fully cleaned and bleached skeleton would fetch several hundred if not over a grand.
  16. Too many times I've been driving down the motorway with a not very well wrapped ripe deer head in the boot. Too many times I've left them for a fortnight before fleshing as well! Putrid!
  17. That's a very normal response.
  18. I'd cut the f***ing head off! f***ing love a seal skull specimen! Genuinely
  19. "...is related to", "...is associated with", "....study has suggested" The implication is horse shit! https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/is-red-meat-bad-for-you-or-good#section2
  20. I'd have that head fleshed and the skull boiled and bleached on the dining table! It'd scare the shite out of little red ridinghood! Some big wolves in Montana.
  21. The dogs he keeps would probably more than fancy the ruck!
  22. Seth Simpson from Idaho is a real old-country western outdoorsman type. Does a lot with various dogs etc. He has a bitch coyote as well but recently dug out a coyote den and got himself this little dog pup. At about the same time some hunters shot a badger that they thought was carrying something it had just killed but turned out to be a cub, that they gave to Seth. He's hand rearing them both as pets! Anyway, thought a few might be interested to see. I think the badger is great!
  23. It looks more than 50 yards therefore I'd almost certainly have drowned! lol I had a strong urge to kayak or whatever over to it mind. No idea at the time the crack with it, whether it was inhabited, private or whatever.
