  1. How do you live like that!? LOL. I'd be a f***ing zombie.
  2. 8 to 9 hours a night, 7 hours consistently would and does leave me fatigued. I wish I could operate on 5 like some people! I used to push it and catch up at the weekend but now I don't see the point, my job is harder when I'm tired, everything is harder. Sleeping well and eating well makes life a lot easier and more productive.
  3. I’m not a geek! I’m a nerd! There’s a difference! That should be a T-shirt too. Ha
  4. It'd be a pretty terrible indictment of the NHS if after saying no the baby needs to be let to pass away the Italians managed to prove them wrong. I'm not sure I believe the establishment are quite that psychopathic but I am sure some of them at least are. Just a thought.
  5. Of course. No one likes to talk about it but it is an inescapable reality. There's two aspect to that though, economic and moral. The economic cost has to be balanced against whether that money is being spent doing the most good i.e. is the money being wasted on a probable lost cause at the expense of other causes with much better chance of success. That's an NHS decision. The moral cost is in suffering vs. chance of survival i.e. at what point does the weight of suffering become too higher cost to pay for the chance to life? That decision is being made by the state here which is the
  6. But that'll be your choice mate. Or the choice of the one responsible for your care in the event you are a vegetable. Question is, should the state be making that choice for you or your carer? If I was a vegetable with no ability to communicate my reasonable opinion, does the state have the right prevent me of getting health care because they deem that dieing is the lesser evil? It's all about the balance between suffering and chance of winning the fight to life and where we draw that line.
  7. I get what you're saying. If we take the view that if there is any chance of a decision that results in death being wrong then surely we do not ever opt for that and the same applies here. Surely the fact that there is a chance that forbidding further healthcare could be the wrong choice, could be stopping the little fella winning the fight for life means 'we' have to allow it. I'm inclined to agree, though I don't think your comparison is a great one. It's all about balance and where we draw the line. We all draw the line somewhere, very few would honestly not ever say "no enough is enou
  8. Accusing the doctors of wrongdoing, accusing the government of putting a price on life, accusing the parents of milking the media, asking where a parents rights to their children ends etc etc is all noise. Filter all that out and your left with the basic question of should the state really be making the decision that this little baby is better off dead than what suffering he may go through to have a chance at fighting for life? If we just accept that everyone involved wants the best for the kid then does the state really have a right to interfere here? Is it too soon? No blaming doct
  9. Ah just wondered if you used owt different to peroxide with the strong stuff hard to get hold of now. I just brush peroxide onto the clean but still damp skull. Let it bubble and fix for a few coats and then rinse. Haven't enough peroxide to be boiling it in a bath of it. LOL
  10. I do the odd one myself. What did you bleach it with?
  11. Yeah, for actual backpack hunting it'd be too much hassle. More of a simple setup for a base camp or vehicle based hunt.
  12. Like I said, it was something I read. “We’re very early in spring now, and there’s already the numbers are tripling as we speak,” said Jean-Pierre Fortin with the Customs and Immigration Union. “You can certainly expect that when it’s going to be warmer that this number will be again increasing significantly.” The Immigration and Refugee Board is only able to hear about 2,000 cases each month. At the moment, wait times for a new hearing last about 20 months. Last year, the Immigration and Refugee Board had 47,000 new asylum claims. That’s double the number of claims in 20
  13. Also just started watching Deep State and SEAL Team. Theyre both keeping my attention so far.
  14. Yours has a lot of Cocker blood if I'm not mistaken? Imo a more vocal breed than Springer. Perhaps that could be a factor in this cross? Similarly, my Cocker will slow down a bit and think when facing really dense bramble etc, stuff that forces him onto his elbows and to climb and twist through. But anything less than that and they just naturally have all the tools they need to scream through like greased lightening. IMO no harm at all in a bit steadier style. That's perhaps the nature of modern Spaniels though. They are so often heavily influenced by Trials, as opposed to purely spo
  15. I read recently that he's in a bit of a sticky situation since POTUS Trump was elected. Liberal Trudeau has always been very pro refugee/immigrant I believe, by nature, but since Trump Canada has seen a massive spike in illegal immigration and are struggling to cope. Kinda ironic...
  16. Sadly an observed and noted behaviour in Homo Sapiens is for certain types of mass murder to become epidemic. There are always individuals that go under the radar who are prone, for whatever reason, to go off the f***ing rails one day. The method of mass murder they choose is quite strongly influenced by current trends. That's as good a reason as any for restricting freedom of the press. For public safety.
  17. Okay, that's interesting. Pretty much what I expected. Aye, spaniels are fast, too fast at times! They have the nose, speed, endurance and strength to not have to stop and think too much. I find terriers much less excitable and they'll think their way through a situation but equally they tend to cover ground less easily/explosively. I wondered really if that combination would make for a spaniel that is a bit slower, thinks more but doesn't lack the strength to 'smash' heavy cover. I think those two traits are mutually exclusive generally though. I'm not surprised regarding stalking. Spani
  18. Jess Jones is behind DD and Punisher I agree but I didn't reckon that much to Luke Cage, it was worth watching mind, and thought Iron Fist was pretty shit. Cloverfield Paradox I watched a week or two ago, didn't really know anything about it other than a brief synopsis and had not watched any of the other cloverfields. Yeah, I really liked it. I like a sci-fi thriller though, Managed to really get my focus. Similarly another recent Netflix film, starring Natalie Portman I enjoyed was Annihilation. Better still, with Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner, Arrival. Transformers, LOL. Yeah a guil
  19. Off the top of my head... TV series; GoT, need I really explain? Outlander, great cross genre drama. Daredevil/Punisher/Jessica Jones, very dark style, not funny or typical Marvel at all. Battlestar Galactica, loved the themes and the characters and the mythology. Honorary mentions: Blindspot, Longmire, Dark Angel, Sons of Anarchy, Vikings, Black Sails. Films: Jurassic Park/The Lost World, I love the concept and the animatronics just wish it had been more of a horror with greater suspense and gore. Independence Day, epicness! Sica
  20. Here's that petition. 100k+ and two and a half months left. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/209433 Personally I don't want the upper house abolished, just have the Lords chopped for something more in line with a Democratic system. They're a throw back to absolute Monarchy and really is akin to our Monarch wielding power on political matters.
  21. This might be hard to answer, but what is her work style like? Same question to anyone with this cross. I've got both the base breeds, well terrier and cocker and I'm fairly certain with what I like about them individually. Just wonder how the cross throws? Also, have you tried stalking with her as you do your lurcher?
  22. There's a petition to bin the Lords. For what it's worth (feck all) I'll post it if I can find d it. Since I've become a bit more politically aware ive supported the idea of chopping this archaic house anyway. And from a selfish point of view I'm not sure they've done anything that I'd consider of value to me anyway.
  23. Cleito coil fat boy tank PG tips ratio.... what, the, f**k! Is this what I sound like to you lot when I talk about science or politics?
  24. Well, with a mind to one day doing a backcountry hunt (or even merely a ramble) I've just ordered one of these Swags. http://www.outhausoutdoors.com/product/hobart-traditional-canvas-swag-bedroll/ Initially I'm thinking of just having the odd summer night stargazing followed by morning stalk/hunt. Be a lot easier to get up at 4-5am when I'm already in the field! LOL Then who knows..... Shame we don't have 'public land' in Scotland or whatever.
