  1. I'm no badger expert but now you come to mention it I've only ever seen badgers in daylight in summer, usually late summer.
  2. I did have avocado last night. Lightly fried with a couple of eggs.
  3. I can get private with work for about a fiver a month, not much more for full family cover. Just for me though I'm not arsed, I'm robust, LOL.
  4. Private in the UK depends in part on the NHS infrastructure and systems. So even with BUPA or whatever you are only ever partially private. I can tell you this though, a comprehensive health insurance policy in the US private healthcare system would cost me a shitload less than I effectively pay in tax in the UK socialist healthcare system. And FYI I'm not a 'high' earner... PS there is of course an middle ground; all healthcare providers being private businesses but the government maintain a 'free at the point of care' funding for it through normal taxation. It'd force
  5. Two guys and their dogs on a mountain alone..... careful what you ask for!
  6. In 2016/17 Health cost us £145 Billion, second only to social protection at £240 Billion. That same year VAT revenues were £138 Billion, income tax was £182 Billion and National Insurance was £126 Billion. I dare say by crossing off the NHS you'd have more than 8-10% to play with matey!
  7. It's because it's underfunded! If only it had all the money everyone would be happy forever.
  8. All comes down to how much we, the people, want it. There's a wealth of opportunity here but it requires innovative minds in politics, the markets and technology. So far the electorate have only done half a job. We started a marathon boldly and rapidly reduced to walking. Collectively we seem to think we have won a sprint when in fact this is a marathon! Technology and scientific progress, free trade and capitalism, the most trustworthy financial system in the world and a strong Navy and legal system were the foundations of Historic British success. Though I don't want to see a retur
  9. Call me an optimist but what they call doom I call society recalibration. I wish I could express to them how little I care for their predictions and assessments. We're a very capable nation that is altogether too comfortable. We can endure and flourish.

    You're a like-whore, don't give it away so cheap.
  11. I can and do go on about exactly what I’m not happy with and then ya find a new quiet little place like this and it ain’t all that bad.
  12. Yep, seems like a very different culture over there where the outdoorsman lifestyle isn’t looked upon negatively. I’ll have to have a look at that, cheers.
  13. Man's gotta earn a living. Fair play to him, he found a way of literally making what he loves earn him decent money.
  14. I love his stuff. Keep meaning to buy his patreon subscription.
  15. Whole lot of teenagers that haven't gotten a grasp of democracy is what I'm seeing.
  16. I'd think it was f***ing brilliant! LOL. I want to go to Africa to experience the danger of the dark continent, it'd just feel sterile otherwise I think. Monsters still roam this world and stuff like this are exciting reminders of them I think. But yeah I know what you're saying, "the tourists don't want to be eaten by the park's attractions!" (Ian Malcolm, Jurassic Park) I think the back story is that the kudu ran into the reception in desperation to escape and the pack followed making the kill before being chased off by locals with guns. I think the mess we're seeing there is what they
  17. f***ing savage! 14 hyenas chase a kudu bull into a a Zim’ lodges reception and do ‘their thing’. Almost looks like artwork.
  18. Its really troubling to me how much you lot are confusing sci fi.
  19. Are you intentionally confusing Battlestar Gallactica with Stargate to 'trigger' outrage from my inner nerd? Both fantastic shows btw. But yeah I would probably be Daniel, lol.
  20. My first order of business will be the 'cheat codes'.
  21. They are, getting all excited about classical mechanics. pffft. I'm much cooler, yesterday for instance my colleagues and I were arguing about the probability that we are all living in a simulated reality and all of our consciousness' are nothing more than evolved AI from the code of the computer simulation of a more advanced master life form. .......... then the sun came out and we all had to run for cover and factor 50 before our sensitive pale skin burned! But up till then it was riveting!
  22. They're already recruiting!
  23. I can't believe you're still talking about children in cages, we've been doing that for thousands of years. Old news. What we haven't been doing for thousands of years is building a space army! A f***ing space force! I love it. Sign me up for the USS Battlestar Gallactica!
