  1. Correlating near perfectly with the official UK COVID-19 daily death data.
  2. So it's quite obvious. I'm happy now. Weekly deaths since 2015. Spot the pandemic. LOL It's from ONS Data.
  3. Yeah yeah yeah, I'VE GOT THE DATA! Just crunching it. Seriously though, I genuinely believe that this is a thing and killing more than normal and is serious. Don't lump me in with Neo-whatsit. But I do think there is sensationalist stuff going on. I don't totally agree with the hot wench in the video. Graph inbound...
  4. I'm not being obtuse at all. We haven't even established that a single person more than 'average' has died. I'll take Jukels fact at face value that 50'000 have died more than last year. Was last year average or a f***ing diabolical year? I'm sure this pandemic will have increased the death rate, but I don't know for a fact or by how much and neither do you.
  5. That's the right line of thought but was last year normal? LOL. And what's 50'000 as a fraction of 'normal'? Point is, most of us don't know and yet we've already decided it's terrible.
  6. A total guess but maybe it's because you are static. So if the wind is blowing from one peg to the next, the downwind peg will be exposed for hours to another persons respiratory droplets which increases the chance of transmission. The 2m rule was probably considered acceptable for dynamic environments (where people are passing each other, not sat still) as you are only exposed for a moment. That's the thing with all these precautions, they just mitigate risk, they don't eliminate it and they're as simple as possible because people won't understand or accept them if they fully explained t
  7. And I don't think you're wrong with that way of thinking.
  8. Absolutely. This pandemic is a serious issue, it's hit harder than I thought it would ( @WILF will be glad to hear me say that, haha). I just think that the media focus on this is knocking it out of context. IE Whenever a young person dies it's all over the news, a thousand old people die and they just get reported in aggregate. That then leads to people saying stuff like "ANYONE can die from this! NO ONE is safe!", yes of course but that's the same for almost every disease/cause of death. Risk, chance, statistics all get ignored and one fact that is presented without context becomes dynamite.
  9. I dunno what you mean by noise. How do we know that 32000 dead in two months isn't normal mate? What's not normal is such a focus on death everyday. Before 2020 I bet 99.99% of the public wouldn't have a clue what is normal in terms of daily deaths. Now they have a single number thrown at them daily and they are expected to be able to judge how bad that is. That judgement begins and ends with "that's a lot", no more thought at all.
  10. Boom, there we go. So it is an 'actual pandemic', it's the severity you doubt. I've just got an issue with the misuse of terminology. Severity doesn't factor into the technical definition of pandemic status. Why would they begin to lift it... Heaps of reasons, for starters we are now in a position of stability for our national epidemic, we are better prepared to implement and experiment with more intelligent and targeted countermeasures than a 'dumb' but effective lockdown. The government has always doubted how effectively they could keep the British public in lockdown and so have to cons
  11. Do you know what a pandemic is? Actual pandemics differ in severity and behaviour, they don't all require lockdown. This is by definition a pandemic.
  12. I'm blessed with good sleep. That said, the quality of sleep after a session that has a lot of dynamic full body and compound lifts is utterly sublime. I'll be dead for 9 hours! I think sleep and fasting (not that I do that) are the new 'super foods'.
  13. Never done preworkout, don't really do any supplements. The caffeine would utterly f**k my sleep and that's more detrimental than any benefit the preworkout would give. I've played around with Modafinil before and that stuff noticeably increased my work rate in the gym, well all day actually.
  14. She said "data"..... ? I kinda half agree with her and half don't. I think this pandemic is being sensationalised but at the same time some of the facts she gives are naive.
  15. The warranty is on any Vortex optic at any time. https://vortexoptics.com/vip-warranty
  16. If I was to speculate I'd say you have an Amazon account for buying stuff with your card details registered on there. Then at some point in the past when buying something you've been flashed the offer of joining Prime for the benefit of free delivery etc etc and gone for it unaware that it is a monthly payment. Perhaps not you, perhaps your late wife?
  17. Total f***ing prick. The personification of modern journalism imo.
  18. Yeah, first time out. Not done much with it since tbh.
  19. Lads a bit of a craftsman truth be told. Shame he hasn’t a business head otherwise he’d do well for himself.
  20. Chemicals and radiation doh!
  21. Black Death... Those water buff's are pretty cool though. They're invasive in the Northern Territories, seen quite a few bow hunts on them recently.
  22. Yeah, chemicals, bad.
  23. I've been obsessed with The Expanse, if you like hard science fiction. Recently smashed Ozark too, after initially giving up on it one episode in.
  24. You'll have a harder time forcing people from Anglosphere nations to give up their basic freedoms than you will most others imo. A history of a lack of vigilance on stuff like legislation and court rulings isn't proof we don't give a shit anymore. Even then I'd say there's considerably more vigilance than most of the rest of the world. Fact is the average Brit's life is completely unaffected by government mass gathering of signals intel or banning the use of nasty words on the internet so no one cares. It's short sighted but it is nonetheless true. Take away real tangible everyday freedom thou
