    OK threads getting heated... lets get this back into perspective shall we? Bull terrier breeds are one of, if not THE hardest breed out there (and by that i mean they'll take more stick than anything else) Labradors are one of the best retrieving breeds out there, smart and hunt well. and to the guy who says they get it round the waist past 3 that's utter bull, one of the dogs on my old shoot was 7 and she looked like her 18 month old daughter - just as slim.     could turn out too inclined to use its nose for lamping but it would probably make a handy ferreting dog. are you planning to put a grey/whippet over the spaniel biitch, if so the cross will still be pretty heavy. one of those pups put back to a whippet/grey would probs make a right handy dog.

    i wouldnt do that job for any money..........why arent rotties banned then? at the moment in the uk its only fighting dogs that are banned. even though rotties kill more people around the world than any other breed of dog. got any official stats to back that?

    soooooo back to the ridgey. South African police use them over ANY other breed of dog. just thought that was interesting to note. my advice mate would be try it with a decent rdgeback dog over a grey and see what happens.
