  1. i feel physically sick Wilf. we all know the only decent thing to do now would be to sent them out here (paying is your punishment) ill pick them up after quarantine and give them a good life free from cruelty and nasty words. lets all try to forget and put behind us what this man has done...
  2. great stuff mate dogs looking real good
  3. well done lads sounds like a good nights hunting even if the bunnies were abit thin on the ground.
  4. is there anything a bullx will do in the uk that a deer/grey couldnt? no. they do it differently, a deer/grey will tend to have more finesse and brains about how it catches but at the same time does it very well. i dont think the chavs like this sort of breeding because they dont look huge and musclebound and dont get scarred up quick. out here both are used, the bullx comes into its own hunting bigger prey ie roos but then we have the roohounds which do it just as well but different. this said i would rather have a bullx holding a big pig on its own than a deer/grey simply because a good one
  5. if it were legal, order a chestplate off strongstuff for your AB and let him loose. but its not where you are so if you do dont post it.
  6. unlucky mate, i was rained off work today didnt know it was down your way though! good luck for sunday
  7. sorry for the delay in putting up a pic, none of them turned out very well, they were taken off my phone but heres the best one anyway
  8. to be honest i prefer it here in australia but there are some great things about the uk... im trying to think... hmmm ok 30/40 ears ago the uk would have been a brilliant place to live.
  9. do it mate, tough life in the forces but rewarding and i guarantee you'll meet some lifelong mates.
  10. interesting idea if bred from the right stock then who knows... i was working a rottie yesterday at work a brute of a dog about 2 years old and just staying still with him on the lead attacking a sleeve was a challenge! i personally think a first cross would be too big and heavy to regularly catch smaller quarry, but out here they would probs fair quite well on pigs. just as a side note there is nothing lacking in the "drive" department with a working lines rottie.
  11. you'll be alright fella dont let it play on your mind to much or you might not look left and right.. and then BAM! you get hit by a bulldozer and flattened! in all seriousness it was probs a hallucination i get em especially if im tired.

  14. thanks for the replies lads. finished my first day, had a cracker was working with the young (under 12 months) dogs mostly and a few clients dogs. theres room for 200+ there but at the moment i think theres around . some stunning dogs though, a couple of the rotties hit the agitator or guy in the padded suit with massive force it was great to see. another bonus - a bloke there has invited me pigging with him on the weekend so cant wait for that! simoman ~ thankyou mate yeah ill give you a shout if (when) i get stuck!! atb lads matt
  15. haha lol, better than being asked to "work" in a room with thick padded walls though ay!!
  16. all the best from me if you decide to, ive always wondered about doing it with my retriever but as has been mention it would have abit too much nose as a half cross to be a great lamper, but as a mooching, ferreting gundog thing im sure it would be fantastic.

  22. fair one.. on the shoots i pickup at theres a couple that try both and end up looking like fools. if your dog can do it thats great but alot of dogs struggle to know when to stay at heel to be set out and when to fan out themselves.
  23. a huge shame ian if i thought there was anything i could say to stop this, i would.. but thankyou for the years its been open and good hunting to all....keep fightin that "alledged ban" people.
