  1. Hi, mate. I dredging the muddled mess that's what's left of my brain but if I remember rightly, you can replace the daft double spring that Relum fitted and swap it with the spring form a BSA Mecury or Aisporter (same spring). I'm not 100% sure though. Long time back....... Good luck with it. Cheers.
  2. Hi, mate. Those and Baracuds were the ONLY pellets my HW90 grouped well with when it was .177 (now .20). I tried all the major brands and was convinced I bought a duff rifle as the best I could get from any pellet was around 4" at 30 yards. Tried the Baracuds's first and they were pretty much pellet on pellet. The JSB's I only tried a couple of years back and the were as good as the Bara's. Funny things, airguns...... Cheers.
  3. Hi, Si. Don't let it bother you, mate. The only person he's managed to make look a tosser is himself. Keep up the good work. Cheers.
  4. Damn I left myself wide open for that one *note to self, must engage brain before typing Phantom Yup, ya did...
  5. Hi, Tom. You're a good way away from me and I'd really prefer dealing face to face. You've mentioned your like for the old 52's before, if I remember rightly so you've got first grabs on that. PM me when you can. The 52's not mint. I've had this one for about a year. It shoots very well but it's been well used by whoever's had it before me. It's got a mod (don't know the make but it works well enough), sling and a Leapers/JSR 2-7x32 scope. I serviced it a few weeks back, new spring (Titan No.4), clean, lube etc. I'll try to get some pics up tommorow. It's not a dog, it's just a gun
  6. I really do not want to sell but I'm a bit fecked right now and I'd get loads of grief if I sold the kids... Cheers. Sell the wife then, no grief, sorted and you've always got your hand to fall back on No on second thoughts sell the wife AND kids, cuz they may give you grief if ya flog mam problem sorted Tony Got rid of the wife eight years ago, Tony. As for the hand, all I can say is you know how you like it best!!
  7. TBH, Tony, I'm not sure. It's a bit of a spur of the moment decision so I'll have a look through the small ads to see what they're going for. It really is A1 condition, HW mod, QD sling, Walther 4-12x50 IR 30mm scope, walnut stock. Shoots perfectly. I really do not want to sell but I'm a bit fecked right now and I'd get loads of grief if I sold the kids... Cheers.
  8. Hi, folks. I may not be able to answer PM's this eve as I'm off out soon but I will reply to all tommorow aft....
  9. It's pre anti-tamper, mate. I'll get pics etc up tommorow, all being well. My camera and computer fell out a long time ago but I'll try to use a mate's. Cheers, Niel.
  10. Hi, Darryl. It's the full length one but if it's any use to you, why not. PM me if you're interested. Cheers, mate.
  11. Hi, folks. As it says I'm a little short of cash at the moment, to say the least.... I'll get prices and pics up over the weekend but they'll be an AA410c .22, full kit with 12l tank and three mags, RWS52 .177, Webley Tracker and Xocet both .177 with gas-rams. All will be face to face cash only. I'm in the Leeds area. Cheers......
  12. Hi, mate. I had an HW80 years back that shot very well with them. They're light for a .22 (12 grains, if I remember right) and fly very flat over short to medium range. I never shot much past 30ish yards back then but found them to work very well. Within that range they do seem to penatrate better than you'd think a flat-head should. I took plenty of bunny's with them. Great for rats and their tree lovin' bro's.. Cheers.
  13. What a top bloke!! I've a 410 .22 and I've already got three mags for it. You'll make someone's day with that, mate. Good on ya!! Cheers.
  14. Nice one, Buster!! I'm really getting on well with mine, off out tommorow with my boys. Good luck with it, mate. Cheers.
  15. Hi, mate. I don't know about the 97 but I've three springers that I've retro-fitted with rams and they all shoot a lot better for it. Less noise and vibes, no 'twang' and no need to worry about knacking a steel spring by leaving it cocked for too long. It all started with my HW90. I'm a big fan of gas-rams. Cheers.
  16. Nice set you've got there, Shay!! I thought I was bad... AA410c .22 Webley Xocet and Tracker both .177 with gas rams Diana 52 .177 HW90 .20 BSA Lightning .22, gas ram King Ratty .22 EB22 BSA Scorpion (pistol) Crosman Night Stalker (crap....) A daft Barnet Quad 400 crossbow and some archery gear............ Enjoy them mate!! Cheers. Edit to say... If work doesn't pick up, some of the above may well be up for sale soon.
  17. Yup! I'd agree pretty much with all that Phantom's said. All I'd add is give H and N FTT's a go too. They seem to work very well in a wide range of guns. Good luck, mate. Cheers.
  18. Hi, mate. I had one a long time back and at the time, I really rated it. Mine was a .177 and took 4 pumps if the weather was hot to 6 to charge it if it was cold before the release valve let off. Very accurate, no recoil, fairly well built and an all round good little gun to shoot. The bolt action loading can take a bit to get used to as there's not much room and the seals need to be kept moist with a sylicon based lube or they'll leak. The main arse ache with them is they do take a long time to re-load and if you want to fit a mod, you'll have problems finding an adapter for one n
  19. Logun's are pure lead. Dynamic's are made from tin. The old style Prometheus have a steel core with a nylon outer.
  20. I've never used anything that old in the field but I used a Mk2 Airsporter regularly as a kid and my dad's mate had a Mk3 Webley and they took a fair few bunnys between them. I'd love something like that again. Lovely old guns that can still be useful today. I sold the Airsporter years back and have regretted it ever since. Good luck with them, mate. Cheers.
  21. You're the first person I've heard say they had a gun that shot well with them. I had an many moons ago and it hated them. Just goes to show how even guns of the same type don't always like the same ammo. Cheers.
  22. There's your problem, mate. OX spring's are sh1t. Have your checked 'cos there's every chance it'll be shooting over the limit with an OX. Cheers.
  23. Hi, mate. I've never found a gun that likes them or heard of anyone's that does. Can't believe they still make the bloody things... The Dynamics on the other hand tend to be far better, my HW90, Diana52 and Webley Xocet all shoot very well with them. Cheers.
  24. Hi,mate. They've been made in Spain now for a few years and the quality's not a patch on the older UK built ones. The mod on my Lightning used to come lose on a regular basis no matter what thread lock or glue I tried. The problem stopped after I fitted a gas-ram to it as it cut the vibes and twangs right down. It is just held on with a micky mouse grub screw that seems to be made of cheese. Take it out and replace with a steel one... You can use other mods but you'll need to buy an adapter for the better UNF threaded ones, or just fit a slip on one instead. I've a couple of Webley
