Denis.... It says OXO on busses.... Please forget it, fella. You're only going to wound an animal, hurt yourself and give 'have-a-go-hero's' the wrong idea as to what an airgun with around 30ft-lb's can do. Sh1te marketing and PR for our sport by Gamo. But the Spanish see 'sport' in killing an already wounded bull in front of thousands of folks by some tw*t dressed like a drag queen. Just leave it alone now, please. Cheers.

To put it into perspective, I think the minimum round recomended in the UK is .243. That's around 1800ft-lb's........... Just a tad more than 30ish....... Cheers.
-
Hi, Denis. Don't do it, fella!!! All you'll end up doing is hurting the animal which may very well take a rather dim view of you and what you just did to it and decide to hurt you. A lot.... VERY tough animals!!!! Slightly worried Cheers.....

Be careful with ebay, mate. There's some proper bargains on there but also a lot of crap coppies, seconds and junk.... I've been stung twice. Like Phantom's put up, follow the links to the good seller's that the lad's have had good deals from. JS Ramsbottoms do some nice basic well priced scopes. I'm useing one of their 2-7x32's at the moment and I'm more than very happy with it for the price. Good luck, fella. Cheers.

Nice one, fella!! Tried that and two of the three little x-head screws weren't properly tight. I'll try it back on the gun and hope for the best. If anyone from Ramsbottom's is reading this, I haven't really done that..... Cheers, Martin.

Thanks for that, TTT and welcome to THL. I'll have a look at that and let you know. Cheers!

Hi, mate. I used to use them years back when I worked in a gun shop but that was only really on CF rifles to get a rough set-up 'cos of the high cost of the rounds. Never used one on an airgun though, I guess it would save a bit of time. I can see it'd be OK on a PCP but thinking about it, I don't think it'd be much use on a springer.... Cheers. -
anyone got acustom superbike i need ideas
andyfr1968 replied to kevin from bristol's topic in General Talk
Some class looking bikes there, Chimp!! What's the deal with the TL? It looks about 3 inch's too short? Cheers. -
Hmmm.... A little more in depth and incisive than my condensed reply. Well put, Si. Cheers.

I have a Lightning with a gas-ram and it's still a badly built, crap triggered piece of sh1te. 95 anytime. Cheers.
-
Just given you one. Matt, 'cos I didn't have a feckin' clue what all that was about 'til now!!! Cheers!
-
Nice one, Craig, that looks really well. Cheers.

Just a silly suggestion, but have you checked that the mount screws are still tight? I've seen similar faults as you describe because of a loose mounting screw. Hi, Matt. Yeah, I've gone through all the usual stuff. It's deffo a fault with the scope. Cheers. Aye. Not wishing to teach you to suck eggs, just always have to remind myself to check the basics before I get overly complicated. It's amazing how often a quick "is it plugged in?" gets a result! You're right there, Matt. I had a trigger problem a little while ago with my RWS52 after I'd given it a new

Please take Si up on his kind offer, Wirral, then you can prove your truly remarkable skills to everyone. It would be great to see you pulling off those kind of shots with a naked Mercury 'cos some of the folks reading your claims may be tempted to think you're full of sh1te...... Happy dreaming, er, I mean hunting, fella!! Cheers.
-
Hi, Jack. Yeah, it's an odd fault. Normally when a scope goes wrong, it's shots all over the target not in tight little groups that move randomly around. New one on me.... Cheers.
-
Hi, Sweeney. The scope came from Ramsbottom's and I know their after sale service it top notch, so I'll see what they say. I really like the little Leapers scope, it's basic but the picture's very clear and I never tend to turn the mag higher than 6 anyway. I've a spare Luger 3-9x42 that I don't really like TBH but it'll do for now on the 52. Was going to go to the new shoot this eve but it's p*ssing it down big style now. Hey ho..... Cheers.

Hi, folks. A few weeks back I took the 90 out to the estate to try to thin out the squidders in the main wood. First one showed, easy 20 yard shot.... missed Checked the zero and it was about an inch high and right. Re-zero'd scope and carried on. No more rat's in party frocks that day but did take a bunny. Assumed the scope must've taken a knock as it's not lost zero since it was fitted over 5 years ago. The next time I used it was my first time on my new shoot last week. Me and my keeper mate parked up and there was a bunny about 15 yards away in the garden, sneacked round

All the best, Alex. Really don't blame you for going abroad, I've had a good few friends up-sticks and leave this place over this last year or so. Hope you find what you're looking for, fella..... Cheers.

:clapper: :clapper: SPA for that fantastic line Here's another for any veggies that may be 'watching'.... If God didn't want us to eat animals, why did he-she (delete as aplicable...) make their insides taste so good........ Yummy, Cheers!

LIAR If you were a good boy; you wouldn't be shooting my bunnies now would you Now if you dont mind, I'll go make this guy say yes :11: Phantom Andy have you got yourself a photobucket account sorted Andy? If so we can start uploading your piccies If you'd have not ment them to be shot, you'd have made them out of kevlar!!! Or at least made pellets from cotton wool..... Yes I have, Tony. Toooooooooooo late and a little too squiffy just now but many thanks, we'll get this sorted soon, mate. Squiffy cheers....
-
Thanks, Shay. That's the first time I've tried to do a 'report', so to speak. I've always kept myself to myself so far, happy to help folks with advice where I can give it but never really bothered with this kind of stuff. Tony's offered his help so as I can post pics and I've taken a few over the last few weeks with a view to shareing some of my shooting with the good folks of this forum. I'm rubbish with technology!!! Cheers, mate.

Hi, folks. Just as well I can't post pics yet, as there's sod all to post.... There's two parts to my new shoot, one a small ornamental garden about 40 yards long by 30 wide. The other a field about 150 long by 100 wide with the wood at the end that I'm waiting to see if I can shoot in. I left my mate Paul in the garden with my Lightning that he's got on pretty permanent loan to deal with whatever may show and I got myself set up in the field close to the edge of the wood where there were loads of tracks leading out into the field. For the whole three hours I waited, I was watc

Hmmmm... I like 'surf and turf' but I don't fancy that combo much. Nice one, Si! Cheers.
