  1. I'll put a pic up when I get home from work tonight
  2. Smart pup that. Thanks lads I'll have a look
  3. I know they are. A lot of my mates have collie crosses and I do like them and there style but I aren't too sure wether I should stick to what I've had. I obviously need more time to think but would be nice to hear what other people thought and maybe some pictures tht was all!
  4. Sadly lost my Wheaton greyhound a couple of months back due to a broken hip. I'm absolutely gutted. Worst day of my life. I've been looking into getting another but can't find any anywhere. I'll travel anywhere in the country. If I can't find a good litter I was maybe thinking of getting a 1/4 collie 3/4 grey but I can't fault my last Wheaton. Maybe I should stick with them! Anyone give me some advice, some ideas or maybe some contacts? I'd love to see some of your Wheaton greys and your collie crosses as well! Cheers lads!
  5. Not sure if you can post photos up from your phone but my best is my Wheaton greyhound. Sadly had to get him put down a couple of months ago. Worst day of my life, 6 years old and had a Broken hip. Some dog he was. First lurcher and will deffo be my best! Absolutely devastated
  6. I have a Wheaton greyhound, I'm not sure how to put a picture up on an iPhone? If there's a way someone let me know haha. Yeah mines 23 tts rough coated, I wouldn't have any other breed now. Run on any ground no problem, good feet, good size and weight, good head, good nose. And game as! There very very under rated in my eyes. I recommend them

I have a wheaten x greyhound. There's a lot of people who wouldn't have one but I think there very under rated. Not too big and heavy like a bull cross but definitly just as game. Hits all quarry no problem. Good nose.. Don't like to big my own dogs up but he is a good all round dog. If i was to recommend another cross I would without a doubt say a collie cross. Hands down.
  8. My lurcher wouldn't jump fences or gates when I first got him. But he would jump Walls with ease So I knew he had It in him and it was just his confidence. Just keep saying a command over and over again. Eventually they will jump over. Give them a chew or something. Won't take long that way! Mine just had a nasty accident with a barbed wire fence the other night, ripping the skin on his neck. No running for a week or two Atb pal
  9. Very nice dog that mate. That's the kind of lurchers I like. Strong but not too heavy atb pal
  10. I've got a wheaton greyhound dog that's keen. Only had him a few months, I got him off a mate of mine who's a keeper. But I haven't had him on a Charlie yet.. He's had a sniff at a few dead ones keepers have shot but that's it. Won't be long.. His time will come I would put on a photo but I don't know how too on an iPhone
  11. Oh ano im not though, the village has had the odd problem in the past with them but like, nobody seems to do anything about it. and if i then know what im doing then i can have a go at sorting it out, or if one of our local farmers has a problem a can help solve it. But at the moment i dont have much idea about shooting them.
  12. Ive never been fox shooting before and i am really eager to do it, i just need some advice. Got the shotgun and a fair bit of land permission, think i saw a charlie in one place, what cartridges would i need? what kind of range would i drop a fox on those cartridges? what cover/hide would be good? what's a good call? there is hardly any foxes where i am but i will try and try until i get one! Advice would be great, dont fill me with shite im just a young lad trying to get off to a good start Thanks.
  13. yeaaahhh i caught my fingers loads in fenn traps on my work experience on an estate. only hurt a couple of times, its mainly shock though! f*****g shit yourself when it goes haahaha some are stiffer than others thats the worste thing
