    I don't fish but I have been volunteering for the National Trust as part of a countryside course at college. Well they have a stretch of the Thames where they maintain the swims and charge people to fish there at day rate. Yesterday I decided to collect litter and on and around the swims were littered with empty beer cans, disposible BBQ's, wrappers of all descriptions. One particularly filthy wart on the backside of humanity had left a shit there.     Maybe there is a young lad round your way who can help keep your dogs fit and in return you could teach him the ropes with hunting. If someone lives in a flat and can't keep pets, he might be really up for it. Don't give up, explore every avenue. Where there is a will there is a way mate. Best of luck Shepp

    Some Joe Dakki down my local park has a german shepherd and a rottie and as with most of those twats he's got no idea. I imagine they were bought to guard the back of his shop and never left it untill they were over a year old, thus they are completely un-socialised. Well they charge into any dog that comes near the section of the park he runs them on, one thing i did notice one time was when they were about to charge my way and into my then pup.     I feed dry food with raw meat and i think it's fine. Bones,meat and fat will digest at different rates. Mixer biscuit will too, i have never seen anything other than here-say about the problem with feeding mixed. I think it is just a saying that has gone around but nobody has looked into it to find out if it has any foundations.

    Used to be popular here in medevial times, lots of old lakes and ponds were used to raise carp often by monks. I ate it in Isreal and china, bland tasting not a patch on trout.

    My bitch cut herself on barbed wire under the leg. I was charged 75 pounds for 6 staples, antibiotics, a collar to stop her licking the wound. A check-up and a visit to remove the staples. I think that's a real bargain for Surrey and the price you paid would probably be quite normal, in that i mean a rip off. Shepp

    To run an armoured cable from a consumer unit (hoping there is a spare way) down a reasonable length garden. Bury it 18" down (if there is'nt a patio in between) couple of sockets, couple of lights. RCD con unit. Test, inspect and register. Would probably come to around 500 pounds down here.

    Not everyones got 500 plus notes to spend and if it's plugged into a socket it's not even covered under the regs.
