  1. True, all i'm saying is the worst types very often do own bull crosses, which must be very disapointing for the decent hunting men who own bull crosses.
  2. I think hunting men come in two catagories - 1. The ones that have a deep love and respect for the countryside and just happen to hunt as well. 2. The type who are basically thugs who enjoy killing stuff and if they were'nt wiping out random wildlife they would be behaving as thugs doing something different. The unfortunate thing is that genuine hunting men who own bull crosses have to suffer the stigma that these scum bags attach to there chosen lurchers. The only up side is that once the thugs stop getting a buzz from killing then the countryside has nothing much else to offe
  3. You could volunteer with a local wildlife trust, it can lead to rabbiting. I think a lot of people prefer you to do ferreting, which is a good foot in the door to lead to shooting.
  4. I agree we need some neutral judges for that arse
  5. Yep standard bull cross owner remarks. Another good reason not to own one.
  6. Probably the west country, nice open fields not too populated and a good climate.
  7. Yes that's the only way mate, lucky you've got a long enough garden.

    Peter Green

He really stitched himself up with the acid, he lived in Richmond like a tramp, would run off when record company tried to give him royalty cheques. Up there with Clapton. I don't really think the Fleetwood Mac Lindsay Buckingham played in was the same group as the old blues group with Peter Green, I know it share two original members but that's as far as the comparison can go. I am a fan of both incarnations though. Shepp
  9. Where are you now then Surrey? Nice little dog that, those russells have got everywhere.
  10. What you have long hair and look like a woman?
  11. Looks like the local cassanova jack russell got to someones coon hound
  12. Unfortunately too many people share that view, just take a look down the local dogs home.
  13. Your the leader of the pack and if there is going to be any agression shown, it will be by you. That's what they need to know, so jump on them quickly and don't leave them to sort it out between themselvers.
  14. Not seen any in Surrey yet There are a lot of rabbits about.
  15. That's interesting to know mate, cheers.
  16. With all the barbed wire in my area i think a dog which ploughed through it and into the cover would spend more time out injured than actually fit for working. My first cross collie grey bitch gets herself into good positions by running tight to the edges of the field. I can also direct her by pointing in appropriate directions if i see rabbits that she does'nt and she keeps an eye on me untill she finds it. Can other crosses do this? Shepp
  17. If he turns out a go worker, then he is the perfect type for lurcher breeding.
  18. Funny thing is, i bet the landowner would have to maintain it or put a fence around it for health and safety reasons.
  19. This thread could be titled 'build up you post number with the minimum effort'
