  3. He's a cracker Lawrence, the sort of dog i'd put over my bitch if she turns out well.
  4. I would say a collie / grey is the best, if you can give it plenty of attention and exercise. There is a reason why the majority of pest controllers use them. A dog that would be easier to have around if you could not give it as much work would be a beddy/grey, i'd have one of them next because i really like the well balanced character of my beddy. Shepp
  5. No softwood mate, would cost the earth if they were hardwood.
  6. I was just thinking of reasons why ferreting is a beneficial practice for land owners and possibly for rabbits themselves. Ones i thought of are - In large numbers they will eat grass which is valuable grazing for livestock. They will erode banks with there warrens. Holes could damage horses legs. If not used as a resource then they will become over crowded and more suseptable to mixy. Will eat the young shoots on coppice. Will eat the newly sprouting cerial crops. Can anybody think of more?
  7. Can someone put up a photo of a nicely made hazel peg
  8. Did you dress the part mate? Maybe get insurance via BASC or Countryside Alliance. Could make up some simple printed leaflets with reasons for removing rabbits and maybe cards with all your details on. There are enough rabbits to keep us all busy and if we don't make good use of them the the mixy do it a lot less humainly. Good luck and keep trying.
  9. Yes nice dog, but it's hardly a beddy cross saluki mate.
  10. Probably the same deer waiting back at the car for him.
  11. they already put them in race horses and milatry personal, and a lot of testing has been done, i can not see what probs you would have ?? If the chip transnits a signal then it must have a power source, if that's the case then how long does the battery last for?

  13. A big hand to the east anglians, that's an east anglian hand with six fingers on each.
  14. in what case??????????? What page you on Well there are articles about lurchers, terriers and ferrets, pretty tame I know but they don't have much choice with the ban and shit. So as far as i'm concerned they are on our side. Must start paying direct debit, i see you get a free knife sharpener if you sign up right now. Go on, you know it makes sense
  15. Well i'll carry on buying Countrymans Weekly then in that case
  16. Tell it to the Countryside Alliance J R Hartly Did'nt he write the book about fly fishing Seriously I can understand what your saying, many shooters and farmers do look at lurcher and terrier men being pretty low in the food chain. How we can change that I don't know.
  17. This kind of inverted snobbery is no help to hunting as a whole. Whether you think the mag is shit or not, the most important thing is it's on the shelf, in the village or high street. It's presence alone helps to make hunting normal in the eyes of the average man in the street. The more hunting goes underground the less likely things can survive, let alone the ban being turned around. Try looking at the big picture.
  18. Our system is meant to protect the rights of the minority, unfortunately the minorities it wants to protect are the ones which are cherry picked by the new left wing ruling class.
  19. Very weak solution of jayes, maybe a table spoon to a bucket.
  20. Broken Britain I bet they'll earn a thousands from the papers, then benefits for the rest of there lives. Just by looking at the mother you can tell her background, pasty face, probably only ever eaten junk food.
  21. Good start! Three is a respectable number for a first outing and can keep a couple of ferrets fed for a few weeks.
