  1. What a load of Bollox if they are Goretex then they will be waterproof. So if leather is waterproof why would they line them with a Goretex membrane??
  2. Are they waterproof ??? They look good but it doesnt say that they are goretex??
  3. The link that you put up was where I got mine from.Just give them a bell and tell them that you want a zip as they are made to order. Mine came with a zip fly! they told me they didnt put the fly in any more, otherwise I would of had a pair Im sure if you said that you would buy them if they put a zip in them then they would..!

    Gulls

Yes Mick we used to use my female Harris on gulls when clearing the landfill sites. As has been stated they will mob a Harris but when mine would catch one I used to leave her out and let her feed on it they soon realised that she was a real threat and would clear from the area.Used in conjunction with the longwings and other methods they can become a successful part of the team.
  7. Country covers Falkland trousers and the cordura bib and brace outstanding also Greys GRXi Xtreme's.
  8. This is a common practice or standard method of breeding a family of working/racing livestock. How do you think that working strains are developed?

  10. My post wasn't aimed at you it was at someone that said that they were only rabbit dogs...!
  11. What does he think that people did with lurchers before the mighty bulldawg hit the British shoreline. With the 3/8 5/8 if you pick the right pup you get more speed than a first x more stamina and robustness than a 3/4 so in effect the best of both worlds.I had one years ago and he certainly wasn't just a coney dog.27 1/2 TTS and 40 kg.
  12. My mate has some available in Devon 1/2 grey 3/8 wheaten 1/8 bull
  13. Beardies can have a wilful streak but would add coat, thicker skin better feet.A mix of beardie and border would be the better happy medium they just tend to be more robust.
  14. Lol yes sent mine back and after a drawn out battle and then quoting the trading standards he buckled and begrudgingly sent me back my money. You won't beat Meindl and Lowa.No need to look any further...!
  15. Are they good as trousers, or better as over trousers? If you get what I mean! You can wear them as either I wear mine as over trousers and also have the falkland trousers and wear them as trousers. They look just the ticket! How breathable are they? And do they have them bloody side zips at the ankles? Apologies for all the questions but they look spot on and they do them in short arse sizes too! I find them ideal, breathable and no they dont have any side zips. They are fairly wide in the lower leg which adds to their breathability and makes them easy to walk in and take off over your bo

  17. These are very hard wearing and totally waterproof but order in good time as they are made to order and can take a few weeks to come. http://www.countrycovers.co.uk/products/300/new-bib-brace-waterproof-trousers
  18. A very informative writeup keep them coming.I have always been very interested in the true working Airedale but getting the right stuff seems impossible in the UK.There is a chap in Scotland that imported some I think that were Redline breeding. How do yours differ from these lines?
  19. Thats a pisser sorry you lost your dogs but at least they went doing what they were bred for.I know the feeling lost a few last season myself.Chin up..!
  20. It's a forum for discussing terriers, what's your point?? My point is that there is a lot of talk on here about working Borders but not that many decent working Borders around. You cant really know that mate if you think about it. You can only really know there are a lot of none workers, but that can be said of lots of breeds from Patterdales to Cocker spaniels. Its a known fact thats why certain people were trying to revive the working border. As a worker its a dying breed.I know a good few people that breed them and they will tell you. There are some very good working borders aroun
