What Are Border Terriers Capable Of.
Moorman 1 replied to jsennitt's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
If people worked them as much as they talked about them on here then there would be some decent one's around.....! -
You can always ask to sent it as a gift? Or do you know anyone in the states they can send it to then they can send as a gift. That doesn't do any good these days.I just had some collar protectors send from OZ as a gift and I still got stung nearly £20 for import duty.I only paid £16 to get my GPS system sent from the US there are ways of getting the duty reduced but it all depends on the sender!

if you buy the birdseye for your alpha i think you can download maps from the whole world with your computer i think like on google earthview Thank you, i'll look into it The TOPO maps are better than the birdseye. My mate paid for the birdseye and I got the TOPO from ebay its on an SD card and it has much better detail. You can zoom in and out and it even shows if your dog is running or sitting. You can zoom in and see the dog going from side to side (marking holes). Its a cracking bit of kit. the birds eye are much better than TOPO. The birds eye are just that like goggle earth .zoom

Not recommended, but I did hear of someone digging out a hound @ five foot with one.

You want the Garmin Astro 320 and buy the Topo map for your part of the country.Buy from Ebay from US you can get the Topo maps on Ebay from the UK.You won't regret buying one it is a huge piece of mind to know where your dogs are at all times.

Thats right I wasn't trying to pull you up, but the lads that bred him sent me the pics and details of the parents as I was looking for one at the time but there wasn't many left to choose from.So I went with another litter where I had the pick of I think it was thirteen pups.At the time there were three litters of Wheaten crosses advertised in the CM weekly.

he isnt up for stud. and has never been used. . and someone asked his height. he is 23 tts. and fifty six pounds. BB. that dog of yours is a blinder . as are the others on this thread. I'd he straight Wheaton x whippet ozzy dad.jpg sire ozzy dam.jpg dam i never bred this dog. he was bought in. he is a genuine first cross. I seem to remember at the time that they were pups that the dam had a small amount of Greyhound in her..?

Bellman & Flint are the only one designed for terrierwork the Ortovox won't honour the guarantee if used for terrierwork as its not what it was designed for.My mate had a new one and it steamed up,let water in.They wouldn't replace it as he had used it for terrierwork. So I would just get a B & F as they can be mended/ serviced here in the UK.

Ey up bellx good to see you back on.....!

Add to the mix well they are gamer and there willingness to work .but I have seen some bad ones too but you get that in every cross I your idea and my idea of gameness will probably differ considerably ...gameness was the main trait in useing wheaton blood with adding a better coat than from bull blood but my point is very very few of wheaton blood are from tested wheaton blood most wheatens can be traced bk to working stock if you look the right places you get a good un Do you honestly believe the first part of your statement about most wheatens being traced to "work

A bolt so no movement as when you use a thread they tend to stretch with use and go out of alignment With the bolt nice and tight and no movement with time..

I put a post on another site and said I hear you been upto your old tricks again, offered a challenge then jibbed and said you have retired Kat. This was his reply: i set no challange and kat isnt retired but she has no intentions on runing in any competion, dont tell me you heard it on the h/l.lol which other site was it,thought he had life time bans on all of them. Countrywise

Pups do get gifted all the time to trusted lads as has been said.I know lads that have gifted pups to people they think are to be trusted only to see the pup sold on at a later date.In fifteen years I would think that you must have made some contact with others that work their dogs.I don't see why men should be expected to give pups from their well bred working lines to total strangers when most of these youngsters are flash in the pan five minute wonders. In the game for five minutes then onto the next fad.Just my personal opinion the key word here is trusted!

Thanks Giro

Tried to get info through website, even tried to phone them but no joy.Seems like you have to buy from the US for some reason.

I know this has been brought up before just wondering if anyone has any updates on them or best place to buy from. Cheers

Bellman And Flint Collar Care
Moorman 1 replied to Molie1337's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I think they are lithium batteries so you can top them up and they don't get a memory.Although I think its best to run flat and recharge every so often. I use two,I flatten one then use the other so alternate them.
