  1. I can't say for sure but yes I would think so, they are designed for the job. You can feel it pop when you hit a tube.
  2. Mole Run Probe (33″ long) – Mole Catching Traps | Pest Control Products The Flat Pack Mole Traps THEFLATPACK.CO.UK You want one of these it helps with the bulb on the end!
  3. The nose can only go as fast as his legs, lol
  4. I can't say that I follow this to be fair, my GWP's hunt faster than my lurcher until the lurcher is running it's quarry. Then obviously the lurcher is faster!
  5. It's strange I know a few lads running them and all have been fine. No problems at all.
  6. There are lots of breeds of HPR's and they are all very different, they were all derived from different breeds/types. How is your current GWP cross? Has it had any funny turns regarding it's heart?
  7. Yes they come from totally different backgrounds.
  8. Yeah some people think the only difference is coat, but as you say they're a totally different breed.
  9. My GSP wasn't anywhere near as fast at covering the ground as one of my Wire's. Also in my opinion the GWP'S are more of an alrounder and seem to take to many tasks. I don't hear of many people using the GSP's for anything other than a gun dog.
  10. Not sure what you mean by sharp but I've had both and the wires are a lot harder going and better alround vermin dogs. The Danish lines are heavier than the German bloodlines. I like that as they are more robust and have more stamina.
  11. I've known lurchers of various types collie crosses, deerhound and bull crosses blow up and die. It could happen to and type, it doesn't mean that type is prone to it. I believe you have a few gwp crosses have they done it too?
  12. Funnily enough I often think he looks like a gorilla when you look into his eyes, lol!
  13. Yes he is a unit he is the sire to the other one!
  14. Absolute rubbish I've known a lot of GWP's and crosses and not heard of any having these problems. If you have seen the drive and stamina these dogs possess you'd know that with heart problems they wouldn't last very long.
  15. Anyone wanting to do this cross I have two working GWP dogs here welcome to use on greyhound foc. Possibly have a pup or two back.

    HH x goldie

Yes as George found out with his female, lol. If your mate breeds them let me know so long as they're 100% parent reared!

    HH x goldie

It's not just the noise its the aggression etc a lot of the harris's even passage birds are vocal and do imprint to some degree.

    HH x goldie

I like redtails flown lots of them. My mate has a male HH x Goldie its a nice bird but its been hard work. I may get one but most I've seen have imprint traits, the breeders are all about the money these days and like to pull them to get another clutch hence most get imprinted in some way or another. A true pr one would be awesome.
  19. That's another season done. Pleased with the hawk and the pup. Finished on a high bolted 2 with ferrets he nailed them both in high winds.

A mate of mine has for sale a very nice steady parent reared male unfortunately he doesn't have the time to put to him now.
  21. A look out yesterday dodging the showers.
  22. Hi Steve yes I mostly use the Duffus style traps from Flatpack. On occasions where needed I also use Putanges and Talpex traps.
  23. Another nutrunner in the bag after squelching around in the sodden ground for a few hours. #33
