One of my regrets in life was never taking any pictures through my army career and ones I did I lost during a house move ... when I was in Kosovo we were waiting to go out on an op from the yank base camp greysteel and I had a shitty throw away camera ... we were on the heli pad that was covered in snow and two apaches came in hot side by side and a grabbed a quick picture ... it was brilliant two apaches a few feet off the ground with all the snow from the downdradt floating around them ... gutted I lost that picture .......
it was on the local shoot, one of the drives is opposite my house and the picking up team they have is useless so after they shoot and move on I send my dogs out and always get a few pricked or dead birds they've missed ... the pup found this .....
Fukc sake the army isn't a giant psychiatrist couch ... if your not confident or have emotional baggage that you drag around with you then I suggest the army isn't the place for you ... a war zone coming under sustained enemy fire is not the place to find out the man next you is a quivering mental wreck that wants to hug you because you are his safe place ......
