Chill out man lol its only a forum where shared opinions are all part of the idea! Agreed airguns can be a better tool at times - like ferel pigeons in barns for example. All that matters is you enjoy yourself with whatever gun you use wich you clearly do so great and respect you chose that. I don't think the pigeons have any idea I'm there tho when there's 32g of 6,s flying towards them while sat in my hide. Some of my most enjoyable pigeon decoy memories where in a flipped upside down potatoe transport box with a plank kicked out of the front of it to shoot from with my tx200 wich was th

Mine are in a plastic wallet in my safe to keep them in good condition - when I take my guns out of the safe they come with me and when when iv finished shooting i clean my gun and put them back at the same time as the gun.

Yes I have thought about it but isn't it a lot of trouble getting FAC or is it different for FAC Air ? Same as powder burners but its not too much hassle. Bolt a safe to the wall, get a permission letter from your farmer and post the form off and he will come see you and check your safe is securely fixed. Possibly a land check if its not already cleared but thats no bother to you as they go and have a look without you.

Amazing results. Ever thaught about trying fac air in .22 instead?

I heard of someone buried there energiser and battery in a wooden box covered up with earth then run the cable through blue water piping buried for 20 yards then joined to the fence 20 yards away. Sad but he had some stolen.

Very true! people very are different but found farmers pretty similar. - but thats just my experience in yorkshire. What I found works well is trying when harvest and autumn cultivations are finished then its a calmer time and crops are young and vulnerable again, and finally theres less cover and leaves in the trees again. good luck to anyone out door knocking new perms are bloody exiting!

just did a quick edit before you replied oops sorry this was the edit part everything waist high and none of my perms are near harvest yet. also found ( i worked on farms for years) that if someone came knocking during harvest time they would not be given the time of day as we where very busy and didn't like to be disturbed.

I generally find this to be the worst time of year for shooting! edit: everything waist high and none of my perms are near harvest yet. also found ( i worked on farms for years) that if someone came knocking during harvest time they would not be given the time of day as we where very busy and didn't like to be disturbed.

Electric Fence Testing
tomburras replied to PeskyWabbits's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
I use a blade of grass to test them and if live push them down with my gun stock to cross them. last year we where ferreting near the farmers house and my mate was wearing a baseball cap, he bent down to net a hole and the electric fence wire went under his peak slid down and hit his forehead and zapped him. He fell backwards and laid out a couple of seconds and got up and said what did you do that for? I was laughing my head off - he thaught id run an pushed him over -

I am it's a 1972 109. Like riding in a horse and cart though excellent - great choice of vehicle!!! wouldn't swap mine for anything else! I have a MK3 Metro as my daily driver, old cars are more reliable. But the Land Rover is a necessary truck. Thirsty, slow, unwieldy but essential for moving lots of stuff around and pulling big heavy things. Mine is ex-RAF, so it has a dial switch for the lights - for convoys etc where you can drive just with the back, or just the front, or normal so you can see and be seen sounds great - I put a discovery 200 tdi in mine, loads of
