Don't think it's trying to prove anything its just a vid I saw and thaught it may be of interest to someone. My shooting partner had a remington 597 .22 lr and we found my fac airgun was more accurate and opened up more safe shooting opertunitys for a shot than the .22 lr. Personaly think I prefer the airgun. It an interesting video.

tomburras replied to mark williams's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I don't think they are overly long to me but here's a pic of mine (full lentgh) next to a barrel shortened hw99 for comparison....... They are very slender - my Bro had the carbine version very rare and one of the nicest guns iv ever seen. -
Thaught so, cheers moxy!

Zero Ranges For Sub 12Ft Lb And Fac Air.
tomburras replied to mark williams's topic in General Airgun Discussion
My fac airgun (.22 @ 26.6 ftlbs) is zeroed at 40 yards and is a mil dot of holdover at 60 yards on 6x mag. Even at 60 yards it hits with a good crack. -
I'm on the northyorkshie coast and i recon the rabbit numbers are well down, i don't mind it so much though cos imputting it down to the buzzard population!! my mate was on for one a couple of months back, i was watching through my scope and one flew down and nicked it before he had chance to shoot it!! pmsl as for hares iv only seen one pair in ages!! atb si Same here there's lots of kites and buzzards on the land I shoot I could stand and watch them all day.Theres a few half grown hares knocking about but after talking to 2 farmers yesterday both said there has been a big drop in hares

Hi Charlie iv had a look and they look nice, propper oldschool styling! Sounds an interesting design with the bearings too.

This salmon parr was caught on the U R E and incase anyone might be interested there's a fish counter at tanfield and the counter is updated weekly on their website here..... http://www.uresalmon.org.uk/ I been watching for quite a while and quite a lot of fish pass through it.
-
The cz sounds interesting Charlie caller. I love the 99 because it's so light and pointable. I was tempted to try a diy tune on a .177 but was put off for the same reasons. I just wish I'd baught a hw99 sooner.
-
Thank you very much MIK and ROM1 I'm chuffed to bits it's a salmon parr! Really happy! Would love to catch a big one one day. Nice pics by the way.

Tonight I had the pleasure of trying a new untuned .22 hw99 and they are bloody good as standard! they are a lot of gun for the money brand new and after a fettle amazing! Here's an old thread from my brother a couple of years ago.... http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/325196-hw99s-my-new-tuning-toy-;/ Are there many hw99 users on here and what are your thaughts on this gun?
-
Yes occasionally I mainly use my rws excalibure (posh webley raider lol) but it's nice to have as a back up gun and for the occasional wander - It's a lovely thing! I just fitted a hw mod and it's really quiet with that fitted too! And agreed - rez,s videos are mint!
-
Only just spotted this thread - yep your right it was your old gun!
-
A salmon parr? Cheers! Tom.

This is the fish in question.... Can anyone tell me if it's just a brownie or my over exited imagination? Cheers! Tom.
