  1. What just happened ? Someone ran into the ring and got held down and taken away by security. The whippet owner picked up her dog and ran. Do you think someone connected to the Scottie felt robbed ???????????????????
  2. Aye and maybe even with the rind on for some crackling. Had kidneys this evening for my tea in fact. The beauty of having a proper local butcher.
  3. LOL, as a butcher by trade I'm embarrassed I got that wrong. I must have been thinking of dessert. Cheers Dytkos.
  4. If I hadn't then I wouldn't be keeping terriers to long, but I've never given any dog a painkiller. Bring them home, wash every thing that needs washing and if antibiotics are necessary (I agree with the lads who say they're over used) and a good warm bed (beside the fire if need be) and a belly full of grub and if that terrier eats up I know everything is OK. I've never even considered painkillers. One thing I've always taken very very serious in terriers is constitution. If one of my terriers had a body draining gruller of a dig after a good feed and a good nights sleep I would expect t
  5. Was it at the tail end of the season or though out ? Fair play though, a lot of lads would have had enough after once ,which, IMO is silly.
  6. Growing up my mother never done them and only when I seen them in the butchers one day did I decide to try them. Like I say, I've been missing out as they're real tasty. As a butcher there's several things I sold and have never tasted but someday hopefully I'll eat brisket corned beef, crubbeens, tripe and cows heel. But they're nearly things of the past nowadays. Oh, nearly forgot pigs tails.
  7. A terrier coming away from it's quarry is not a mistake, JMHO.
  8. I've never given a terrier painkillers, never needed to, but I've had a few terriers that have made me take painkillers.
  9. Teacher asks little Billy to put the word " Contagious" into a sentence. Little Billy thinks for a while and says " I went to the barbers to get my hair cut and the barber was so slow it took the contagious".
  10. Saint Patrick's Day, win or loose it will be a good one. England looking for some respect, Ireland, the grand slam. it will be great.
  11. Her dyslexic pimp had just opened a warehouse.
  12. Treat it like a mink or a grey squirrel and do the right thing. Don't think where it came from and just remember that it doesn't belong.
  13. True story. I know a woman who asked her husband to get her something for the garden for her birthday. He bought her a spade and rake. He keeps greyhounds which probably explains a lot.
  14. JMHO but mental stimulation is as important to a terrier bred for work as some exercise is. Some terriers don't thrive on a walk around the block. For some a half hours running around a field would be more beneficial than a 2 hour road walk. It's well for those lads who have some ratting to do. They must have very happy terriers indeed. But exercising of a lead must be done in an area you know better than your own back garden and as terriers get older the less exercise means to them. They just want work, work and work. Nothing else compensates for it and the off season can make your best worke
  15. So it is................but for how long
  16. Just out of curiosity , is there an International Men's Day ?
  17. Love a good fleece type myself and if you wear them as much as I do the dirt usually waterproofs them anyways, .
  18. Here's Tesco new Autumn line. I wonder would Tescos sell balaclavas if they thought they'd sell. Damn right they would.
  19. It's not hard to send an e-mail to Tescos telling them they've lost your custom. Does Tescos sell Halal meat ?
  20. If that's how most Americans work their terriers by letting them work loose and find holes for themselves then fair play to them. It's exactly how I like to do it myself. IMO it tests a terriers nose much more than being pointed at a hole and released. I get a big thrill out of seeing a terrier hit a line and follow one to ground to be dug too. I don't get so big a thrill when they hit a line and disappear for a few anxious hours but I'm used to it. it usually happens when I'm going out for dinner or going to visit my parents but that's terriers. But, if I lived in Britain with their mass
  21. After reading this whole thread it's amazed me that no one has said that that father would be doing jail over this side of the world, but it's good to see no one has disagreed with his methods. I bet that young fellow will grow up just fine.Lets face it, his SEAL training has already begun.
