  1. Yes, have heard it but it's not something I've ever thought about.
  2. That's one I believe too. I don't like to see too much white in a terriers eyes. Ideally I like to see no white at all.
  3. I suppose it could also be used as a Priest, LOL, although not for Carp, obviously. Apparently that's worse than treason in Britain.
  4. Lovely old type that. The ol' timers used to believe that a Staff who carried it's tail out straight or worse, upright, was a sign of a cur and there might have been something in it. You rarely see a Pit Bull with a high stationed tail. I like your dog.
  5. I'd say that a top professional anywhere in this world would be chuffed to have taken that shot. It's class.
  6. I haven't got to examine their coat yet. The pups flew into an Oak tree and wont come down. They were barking at first light this morning. ?
  7. I've always said that the gamest animal alive is the gamecock so decided to try an outcross. The trolls will love replying to this one.
  8. Oh, OK, he real took to the terrier side of the cross, no wonder he's sitting in a truck full of hounds minding his own business . Great jacket on him for thick cover.
  9. Nice pics indeed. The red terrier type sitting at the tailgate, is he a full terrier or a cross ? He looks an old fashioned type.
  10. Stop FD you'll give Stop End an even bigger head. To be fair, everyone knows to let a dog sniff a bitch before making the sometimes long trip to the stud dog you're using. It's common sense, not a trick of the trade. But it's not fool proof, a lot of bitches will let a dog they know mount them but will ignore or attack a dog they don't know. There's a lot of tricks to getting bitches pregnant consistently and the best lads I've ever seen at it are the greyhound men and pit bull fanciers. There's usually a large stud fee involved and you sometimes only get one crack of the whip. The l
  11. LOL, I see you've added your input to the old Nuttall lines thread. The black terriers you see work year on year. LOL, come on, that's very funny. A couple of years ago you had white terriers from Cork but still asked a couple of good Patterdale breeders for pups. Then you had a couple of Russells. Now you've been working black terriers for many a year, LOL, brilliant, you couldn't make it up. You're a clown. A very funny one. To the OP. Sorry for hi-jacking your thread but it sounds like you might have missed the boat with you bitch BUT one of the secrets to getting a
  12. So what about all the greyhound bitches that are brought to greyhound stud dogs ???????????? Are you suggesting the owner of the stud dog should drive around the country to each bitch, LOL. Stop End you're on a roll this weather giving out your wealth of knowledge. Yesterday you were telling the boys from the Shires all about THEIR badger cull, from your armchair in Northern Ireland and now you giving out information on breeding terriers when all you ever do is buy, sell and swap them. Why don't you tell the lad how to guide the stud dog into the bitch using a shotgun the same way yo
  13. Why are hunt sabs like slinky's ???????????? Both are boring 'till you push them down the stairs.
  14. Is the gentleman with the shotgun about to blow the lady's head off ? Any idea of the dogs Gnipper ? If they're gundogs they're like leggy Springers.
  15. Nice pup, plenty of knuckle. What's the breed / breeding ? Majestic ?
  16. I had a red fell bitch one time well bred from a hunt kennel in England. Took her on a rat hunt one time where we caught over 100 and after seeing her first rat she spent the rest of the night hiding under the car. Another terrier, Spike, I dug him with a vixen at 7 months old by accident. He did around 45 minutes and worked hard for 8 seasons. At 9 months he refused to kill a rat. There's a big difference between a terrier that will kill a rat or two and a good proper ratting terrier. The type of rat hunts where you're killing 50 + is tough on terriers. I can only imagine how tired the t
  17. Rumour has it the Coot was in fact a keeper. It showed that on Springwatch Tuesday night and I couldn't help notice how happy C**** P****** was to report it. And there's me thinking that every raptor is sacred.
  18. Putting a first cross over a three quarter also gives you a 3/8 5/8 cross. Some people like them and it's probably a better way to breed them as both parents will have been more tested in theory.
  19. This thread proves that not everyone who sells lurcher pups lies about the breeding. It's just that they haven't a f****n' clue. Katchum is correct.
  20. When I'm in England I often drink this stuff.
  21. Good idea and his address says he's beside a very good one.
  22. A true story. A few years back the Gardi (police) raided the premises of a farmer who made poteen (a hackler) and found a still. The farmer appeared before the judge and the farmer pleaded not guilty as the still was empty at the time. The judge asked the arresting sergeant was this true ? The sergeant said yes but he was still guilty as he had the equipment. The farmer stood up and said "you might as well charge me for rape too your honour," "Why ?" asked the judge. "Sure haven't I the equipment for that too, but it doesn't mean I done it," said the farmer.
