its looks like a Belgium hare ? I wish I could take pics like that..I find myself in a position to be able to get great actions shots..but the Iphone just doesn't seem to capture it...lol Its an irish hare mate.......they are released for muzzled greyhounds to run. According to folklore lol the white hare was an easy assignment for a lurcher and with the Irish Hare being a sub species of the White Hare does it also mean these were easy pickings for an average type of dog? Genuine question for those who have ran all three "brown, white & irish" ..ive not seen let alone ran an irish

I'd love to know where all this carrion that Red Kites, Buzzards and Ravens feed on is ?????????? It's illegal for a farmer to leave fallen stock on the land any more and I'm out on the land 7 days a week and don't see as much as a dead rabbit. Yet, all these protected birds of prey that the Wildlife departments are churning out seem to always look healthy and well fed. Pity all the leverat's and wild pheasant poults we used to see aren't as healthy.

He was in it this morning, funny enough the same snare too.

A shot like that of a hare being coursed on his own turf would be near impossible to get, but at a park meet you'd have several chances of being in the right place at the right time every couple of minutes. I agree, Park Coursing is not the real deal but it is massively popular in Ireland, so popular in fact that there's more entries than there are places. I do think coursing will be around for a long time to come here in Ireland but every year it seems to get harder and harder for the Open Clubs to run their meets due to a few factors which is sad as Open Coursing is the real thing. Good p

You too Margaret. -
I think these other great sites are as mythical as Johnny's pub.

Maybe it's those who come to a hunting site for sexual content who need a wake up ?

I understand now lads, thanks. They're shop bought snares I use but I've always used them with no problems. But when it's a fox that's taking my own it's war, LOL.

What do you mean by loaded Fenn ?

Neil Cooney said only CLOWNS say, , the dog is only good as its last dig.explain y? Neil cooney knows it all does he? No one knows it all. Last Tuesday two lads traveled down to me to see a dog working that I told them I was going to breed from. I bred the dog (now nearly 7) but he belongs to another lad. Last year this terrier on a 3 and a half hour dig did something I never knew a terrier could do and it was one of the best, if not thee best, digs I was ever on. Not because of the time to ground but because of what he did. We were lucky not to loose him that day. When I seen him last

Just my opinion but I wouldn't say this terrier has spewed it. A terrier has to be working to spew it, this to me sounds like a terrier that hasn't switched on yet. And maybe it never will. One big secret IMO to entering terriers is to find a good blood line and stick with it. That way you'll know what to look for in pups that are coming on for entering. Hence the reason the likes of Dillydog and Foxdropper can see promise in a sapling etc.

The biggest hypocrites are those who run the Mirror. They ran a front page anti horse racing article a couple of months ago BUT every week the Saturday edition has a racing supplement. It a rag.

No, I was using a run through some nettles that formed a bit of a natural arch and the bottom of the loop was around 9 or 10 inches high.

Same to all, best of luck for 2015.

Mine perished after 18 months. JMO but 18 months is a long time for any pair of wellies. I wear them every single day and bought a pair of Hunter Balmorals a few days ago. Watch this space, LOL.

There's a few unusual mounts there. What's the story with the white pad beside the normal brush ?

Fat Man, I think if you were to walk into a super market with TNT to get yourself a salmon it would make the national news.

Normally on the odd occasion when I do have to set wires for a problem fox I get him after a while. It's myself who's suffering from a rouge fox at the moment and I set a few and yesterday morning one snare was fully pulled but empty. A bit of fur proved it was a fox but the surrounding undergrowth proved he got out of it quickly. Those of you snare plenty is there anything I could do apart from remove the stop and is this common ? It might have been a small vixen that was in it but the one I'm after is a large dog and the cheeky b*****d left a scat beside it last night.

The one and only thing I liked about the ol' grey box was that if you were down deep to a quiet terrier and needed direction the grey box was instant. You'd get a reading instantly, which lets face it, was very important if you're only a foot away. But other than that they were rubbish. It annoys me that the avalanche systems have been around for over 20 years. Wish I'd found them, I'd now be a millionaire like Bryan.

Depends on who the judge is.

Are you boys sure ? There was also a dog called Whiskey here in Eire that had health issues that the owner sent back to RB and it was sold on to further afield.

It sounds like half your day was also wasted Dymented. If I was constantly getting that sort of harassment I'd have the Hunting Act laminated with the necessary sections highlighted always in my vehicle. It might help speed things up.

Nice one, big fox so.
-
Enjoyed that. Did anyone spot the personalised number plate ? Very posh indeed, LOL.
-
Did you weight him ? I'd say less than 18 lbs.
