  1. I haven't a clue on how to GL and it was the telly where I seen it.
  2. That scenario is completely man made but has anyone seen the old BBC footage of the fox sunning himself on a bank and along comes ol' Billy and attacks him for no reason. Great bit of filming. The badger is not the cuddly old man of the woods a lot of folk think they are. They're even very rough on their own kind.
  3. Have to admit, there's something special about working ferrets or terriers underground in the snow. Especially when you see prints going in, but not coming out, LOL.
  4. And then Cwis Packham mentions non-native species that are being released in Britain including the French Partridge and the Ring Neck Pheasant. Doesn't miss an opportunity, does he ? I love the wildlife footage but could gladly watch it with the volume off.
  5. Watching Winterwatch here on BBC. They said they're watching a deer carcass to see what feeds on it. It's obvious there's two deer carcasses beside one another, one looks like a Roe and the other looks like a Red or Sika. Then the woman presenter says "last year we left out a deer".
  6. When I read the title of this I thought it was going to be pictures of funny hair do's. Does nobody spell the full word any more ?
  7. How's he a nice bloke ? If he wont do something for his own mother that makes him a miserable asshole IMO.
  8. Now's the time to start asking. When it comes to well bred pups it's better to be looking at them than looking for them.
  9. He has trouble written all over him ,LOL.
  10. HJKC on FDRH ? I smiled when I seen the name of this thread. Haven't seen it in years.
  11. There must be lot of pressure on some keepers nowadays where they have a budget regarding the amount of birds they can rear and are then expected to show good sport several times a year. I'm sure no keeper wants to break the law and I'd say most don't but for a few it must be "damned if you do, damned if you don't" and if sport gets bad there's plenty more keepers out there looking for a position. But, I see now that a shoot owner has been prosecuted over some actions carried out on his shoot. If this happens now and again it might take some pressure of the keepers.
  12. Tell the cat folk to bring their cats over to the RSPB reserves and ,HEY, everyones happy.
  13. No lads, the truth is that the Mole is that intelligent they actually knew that the Irish trapper of the future would be to good, so, like a lot of Irish they emigrated. Only messing lads, it's the limestone. Ireland is nearly 100% limestone and those little feckers never tried it. Just as well too , or someone would be running mole trials.
  14. On a brighter note, I found a fiver on my way to the shop today.
  15. Have to agree, leave the eels. They need a helping hand nowadays and small waters like that can often hold big specimens. A small water like that IMO three species would be loads. Also another question but here in Ireland we don't go for the modern fancy coloured species like Orf and Goldfish. Surely these brightly coloured fish help the predators leading to more predation ?
  16. If it's muddy bottom put some Tench in it, then some pure Rudd for the upper layers and some Perch after a year or two to keep the Rudd down. After a year or two you should have some nice sized Perch and Rudd.
  17. Every book or magazine article written on fieldsports is or at least should be written to show the true facts about our way of life. BUT, these articles and stories are in mags and books that we, ourselves choose to buy. The anti's however, get their rubbish printed in the daily rags AKA. as the tabloids. People buy these for the horses, T.V. or page 3 etc. but unfortunately they also read the rubbish about hunting. And lets face it, these rags are a business and exaggerated or completely untrue hunting stories appeal more to the public than a story of a local rabbit catcher or a lad who sh
  18. Is your f***ing name Jigsaw ?????????????? LOL. Still you just saved me the price of a pint , and I hear Jigsaw can be nasty with drink on him. LOL.
  19. See what happens when you set yourself a very high standard ? It's still better than most lads Rob. He looks a monster. IMO a piece like that is made for sitting on the floor (or a very deep shelve) which means I could never let the dogs into the house again. LOL.
  20. A friend who works in a Fieldsports shop says that the Seeland's are regularly returned.
  21. I'll buy you a pint when I see you Jigsaw if you can give the proper name for a ferret pelt used in a fur coat (although not alive) ?
  22. Not a bad photo but I'd rather see a video , LOL.
