Clamp on barrel bipods
Phantom replied to johnboy19's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi John, Personally, I would not use one that clamps to the barrel A knock on the pod could easilly put your barrel out and that you don't want. I use a cheap Harris Clone, from China and have had no problems at all with it so far Have a gander on eBay, Ipaid about £20 inc p&p Phantom -

I've just looked on there, reg'd a long long time ago, but don't think I've posted yet. They do have a section in their rules and regs of posting and it does say they will take a Zero Tolerance to it, guess thats why they have the system set to point out any naughties. The word's spelt like (using other carectors) B!tch, fooking, f##c or even fv<k is unaceptable on the forum. Still each forum to their own eh? I stick to this one, the UBC one and the one we don't mention on here occasionally I'll visit the bbs if a search on google comes up with a keyword on there. Phan

Sounds like a challenge Stealthy You putting your HW100 up by any chance I'll work on it I know I'm up to it on an indoor range, but I don't have one close by. The range was about 30'ish yards (my paces, so give or take a little on that) I've just measured out 20 feet in the back garden and have gotten some string to make a 100 feet marker (as someone pointed out yesterday, think it was Bill?). Watch this space Phantom

I was hoping to be up there before sunrise today, but these meds are a pain in the butt I woke up violently at 05:00 thinking, right bunnies, brace yourself for an early morning onslaught Next thing I knew it was 10:30 So off up after tea, no point going during the day as they stay down and the cemy crawles with people on a sunday. Hi Bill, Never thought of that I would have thought if they had been afterany stuff of value, they would have also taken the big petrol mover from under the awning. That and a few more of the valuable items were still there. Think Mark will have taken them today, he said he will be torching all the stuff that he doesn't want. Hoping to meet up with him there tomorrow. Come to think of it I'm hoping to do some very early morning bunny bashing tomorrow as well Take care Phantom

Same here I love my Springer for mooching and plinking and occasionally knocking up the odd kill with her, but for serious Killing in the field I like the surgical precision of my PCP. Phantom

Hey guy's, This week while out in the field, I did some accuracy testing using Myself, the AA S200 and the AA Field Diablo's (one of my babies preferred pellet types) and the Kassnar Scope. I had; as some of you will recall, a day last week where every pellet I shot at paper removed the bull and yet every shot at live quarry, allowed the quarry to flick its tail up at me and say "Call yourself a Marksman?" before running off only to die laughing That to me is the best thing about going for a brain shot, do it right you get a 'lights out' do it wrong and 9 times out of 10 it misses

Ledray vs Deben Tracer
Phantom replied to gringo40's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
And just to chuck a HUGE spanner into the mix for you Carl, The one sat on my rifle, is a higher light output than the Ledray, despite it being the same basic unit The Batteries last well over the 7 hours, it has a huge light throw when unfiltered (easilly covers my 3.5 acre permission), but using my own red filter, I can still see bunny jewels (Eyes) at 50 yards with the scope. The unit cost me about £20 quid! including remote pressure switch and normal switch and rechargable batteries. Phantom Also I can (and will be) buying both red and Green bulb units in the near future -
Excellent going Darryl Phantom

Stealthy: GIT Alex: Double GIT :tongue2: Darryl: the Git's are of course correct Nowt like a session like that, remember mine last week Every shot in paper removing the bull, every shot at live quarry missed and all at dead on zero range! Like Stealthy said, sessions like that makes the better ones even better still Phantom

Hi there Andy, Welcome to the forum I believe Stealthy uses one of the X-Verminator Lamps, I'm sure he'll be along some time this evening to give you his verdict on them. Either that or when he gets back from massacring the bunnies with it ATB Phantom

Thanks Darryl, I also think that is the case, but unless it's reported to the Police and the tyre treads are matched to whoevers vehical they belong to, were not going to find out. I was hoping to be there all day today from early til late, but I've been asleep most of the day Think its the new meds So now I'm thinking of maybe going out after midnight and staying till dinner time tomorrow. Maybe then I may bag some Corvids Phantom

Hey Guy's n Doll's heres a quick tour of my Paddock Permission for you Decided that yesterday (Thursday) was a nice enough day to go and batter some quarry. Or at least try given the other days performance So at about 13:00 I gathered some kit, sun was shining, figured, I would travel reasonably light. Gun, Bivvi bag, pellets, gloves hat and something to make my hide (poncho and a couple of fishing rod-rest's). Got to the Paddock and was amazed to find that someone had been up there and trashed the place, the Feeder Box had been chained to a vehical and pulled from its position and
