Hi Edgar, The bunny was a fairly young one almost 3/4 grown. Like you I usually find the pellet still in the bunnies noggin on most shots at that range The pellet used was an AAFD at just under 16grain (15.90) Gun is running smoothly at 11ft/lbs Phantom

Thank you gentlemen. I do like to get over the events as well as I can. I find that by reading other peoples stories, I learn more I hope that my posts do the same for others even if it is a case of "stick the kettle on Luv, this is gonna be a long one" :11: Phantom

Today I swapped my Kassnar 3-9x50 monster of a scope with the 30/30 ret on my S200 for the rather petite 3-9x40 SMK mildot scope that has been the crown on my Beasts head for a couple of years now. Once I had done this I set about pumping my S200 up to the start of her sweet spot in the power curve and then grabbed some basic gear including A4 paper, my portable backstop and my surefire torch, home made red filter and made my way to the paddock. I climbed through the fence after putting a new warning sign on the gate (old one had been up since last spring and was a little worse for wea

Gary: It fecking did! Davy: When I'm by myself my static shoots can have me prone for up to 6 hours (like it did in the snow). I thought perhaps someone else was lamping last year, but there has been no sign of anyone else. I think its the direction of the lamp that scared em. I went out this evening and well thats tonights story Stealthy: Fresh Air? I'm only feet away from the constant deisel and petrol fumes off the busiest road in the area, If I fart I considder the odour a breath of fresh air Bill: I was actually thinking somewhere along the same lines of that when out this e

Hi Guy's and Gals, I went out last night to the Paddock and the Cemetery, scared the droppings out of one bunny who was sat munching on grass as I came through the fence. Needless to say he gave it legs and stuck his tail up at me as he hopped off at speed to the nearest available warren. I got the distinct impression he was saying to me. I could see many cotton tails at the far end of the paddock and 6 or so over the fence that I go through to enter the cemy. There were a dozen or so that I could see over the big warrens over towards the A63 so I went over to the caravan, slipped out

Nice work Davy me ol'e boy That was awsone shooting as for the 20mm higher? why? looks to me like you severed its spinal column and there was no way was that any less humane than a shot to the grey matter. Instant lights out me thinks. Very well done. I've not had a kill in what seems like forever despite some perfectly missed shots No woundings either like, just total misses This afternoons weather is looking reasonable so I'm gonna take the mildot and sit it on the S200 for a play at the paper. Perhaps I'll get chance of some meat for the oven as well but not holdi

What a load of faffing about!!! I use PSP for image enhancement (similar to Photoshop, in fact I believe Photoshop incorporated or took over PSP) But the easiest way to do it is upload to either PhotoBucket as mentioned earlier (or Photofucket as they are known in some circles). I personally use www.tinypic.com all I need to do is upload, tell it what the image is to be used for, email, message boards, or screen size (simply click on the dropdown menu to choose) then copy the resultant code and past it into your post which is usefull as you can then post the same pic code to multiple

I believe he is talking about the thread in the sub-forums ie:Help section and General Banter He is correct, there is a nice little thread about the kill zone on a bunny's noggin I've been using this forum for a couple of years now and I was one who wanted the new sub sections But it took me a week or two to realise that they had actually been created and I believe Mr Invisiblescarecrow (hell thats a gob full to type) is letting others like himself that they exist as many people just scroll down to the main section of posts Phantom

Hey Si Nice site that, I could put those into my calls into my pocket computer and on my phone Seriously I don't think its legal to use a recording to bring them in is it? But what I wanted to say was Thank You Sir thats a great little resource indeed. One thing I would say to other airgun hunters (newbies mainly) though, is that the printable target has two kill zones on it. I would not actually aim at the body kill zone using an air rifle concentrate on the head one Phantom

Gamo Mod Center air pistol
Phantom replied to johnboy19's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I believe it to be the fore-runner of the Gamo Falcon Target Pistol, but could be corrected on that. Pretty well built and pretty accurate for 10M bullseye. Come to think of it, the only differance between it and the Falcon is the grips Oh and the Falcon incorporated a Safety catch Phantom -
pellet test .22 with my gunpower storm
Phantom replied to Alexisrouzee's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Alex, cheers for the vid Did you say that the Storm is a sub12? (memory bad, no come to think of it I dont have a memory at the moment:icon_redface: ) The Rabbit Mags weren't they designed for FAC Air rifles? Think they operate best at something like 50+ ft/lbs (sure I read that somewhere) Phantom -
Rabbit Skull Kill Zone
Phantom replied to Marksman's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
The bit I found interesting (now I've seen the vid) is the comparison of the .22 pellet against the brain enclosure. Now perhaps if they watch the video! Certain people on here will see and appreciate why most of us agree that being able to place a pellet into an area the size of a UK 20pence piece is so important. Thanks for the Vid Darryl. Phantom -
