They are similar to the duracell bunnies, they go on and on and on I usually get somewhere round about 4-6 hours on the cheaper rechargabls, less when the weather really starts to freeze though, cos the cheapies really don't like the freezing cold. When I got the genuine 'Ultrafire' rechargeable I tested the length of time by leaving it on in the kitchen overnight after a couple of hours in the cemy. Put it on about 21:00 thing was still shining bright when I went to bed at midnight, got up at 08:00 and it was still lit Phantom

Hi there, You could shim your scope or reset the sights to the factory default (optically centre them). Then sight in as normal Heres how its done (my second post on the thread) http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=148559 Phantom

Nice going Jack The small ones I find are the most tastey A tip that Steve Price gave out on one of his dvd's and in a mag was to Gut and skin the bunny, then keep the meat for yourself (Ideal pan fryer if its a Kit) then lay out the skin, with the head still in it and leave the guts partly exposed out of the belly of the skin. Corvids will go for the eyes first, so try to bang them in the head before they get to the eyes Aparently once the eyes have gone, they take less of an interest! Good shooting and good luck with the Corvids Phantom

very compact mate, id say it was around 5 inch long at the most. no battery pack or recharge. the only draw back is they take CR123 batteries which are expensive. around £4 each. Wich is why I buy the rechargable CR123 from ebay, got 6 and the charger for about £10 inc P&P Phantom

Stealthy, I'll be out tomorrow all being well hoping the Sunshine and warm temps may bring them out during the day. Jack, Thats how I like to shoot think I was a Sniper in another life In fact I'm sure I managed to bag me some big Polatition as he was being driven around Dallas way back in 63 They blamed some poor redneck sap called Oswald and then had someone shoot him before he could prove he was innocent :11: Yeah my Baby got the full towel dry and oil massage treatment afterwards for being such a good girl Phantom

led ray lamps?any good???
Phantom replied to ferreteressex's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I use an Ultrafire 300 lumens jobby, Identical to the ledray but about 60£ cheaper and almost twice as powerful than the GL4 Look on eBay for them. You can even buy red or green Lamps for them for a few quid The beam on them is fantastic, comes with the pressure switch, etc.... I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, and I have not looked back Phantom -

Thanks guy's, I know what you mean about the wind but it really grates on me, it's one of those "IF ONLY I HAD....." things! Guess its another thing that has been learned I was thinking of going out today, especially as the weather has been great this aft, I'm now sat in the kitchen with the Sun beating in through the window oh how I love the Sun! I didn't get to the shops for some throat pastils or pain killers so, I'm undecided if I should go out, this sore throat has me feeling crap, the head is not as bad as it was, but I'm constantly having to clear my throat, wich of cour

Yesterday, Despite a killer of a sore throat and thick head; I decided to put the big Kassnar scope back on my Baby as I don't like the smaller one for night shooting So off I went to the paddock at 13:00 and built my makeshift shelter/hide out of a couple of DPM Poncho's, two wire rod rest's and my bivvi bag. I was about to dig out the camera and take some pix of it when the heavens opened and the wind was howling, so got into the shelter and waited over an hour for it to settle. During this hour, I thought ooh I just fancy a nice cup of hot black fresh Java from my flask hey presto I'

HELP! cylinder rust
Phantom replied to aaronpigeonplucker's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Took the air cylinder off mine last night when I got home as my baby got soaked yesterday. Dried with a cloth then a very light coat of oil over all the metal work. Phantom -

Sounds like the rabbits are in deep s**t on your patch Stealthy; you have no Idea how true that is Just near the big warrens in the embankment the bunnies have to come out and cross the biggest area of horse sh!te you can imagine. Remember the first time Riff and I went over, we both nearly landed on our butts in it Davy; Heres my finger as of last night inside my hide (had nothing to do but wait for the rain and wind to settle) Still cant put enough pressure on the finger to allow me to shoot the Beast, luckily my Baby has a fairly light trigger

Hey guy's, Went out yesterday for a sniping session. Weather looked dodgy to say the least and the wind was howling Got my little bivvi and poncho basha set up (used 2 poncho's this time to give me some room) I was about to take a couple of pix to show you how simple it is when the heavens opened up. So I got inside and awaited the rain and driving wind to subside. Once it had all calmed down (about an hour later) I had forgotten about pix (as well as my flask of hot black Java sat at home) and got down to zeroing the big scope that I had put back on the Baby. I'll try and

Thanks guy's Fingers getting better, just split at the very tip now, so its awkward getting and loading pellets, but easier to use the trigger now Phantom

Naw they are a couple of days older Look forward to seeing the new pix. Phantom

Would have been three The next one came running up towards me. Got to within 25 yards and sat dead still, settled quickly and gave me a full broadside shot. Baby was loaded, but I had forgotten to lock the bolt down  Target aquired, 1st stage up, second stage gone. Nearly crapped myself; waited for the phutt and crack, got a deafening BANG, pellet fell almost at bunnies feet and well lets just say, I didn't see another bunny that evening I'll be back out tomorrow Phantom
