  1. It's what i would call waste land. Rough grass. And old burn heap. An old scrap plough and such like, about 10 arces in total. It's too highly and rough to farm so he just leaves it. I had another landowner/tenent problem the other month. I know the tenent who gave me pidgeon shooting permission. Whilst I was there another guy turned up, who had permission of the landowner and had done for years. Didn't realise this year he had let it. Luckily for me I knew the guy and it saved any Agro.
  2. There was a litter than ran well in the east of England lurcher club. They are about 10 now, but in their day they were very good hare killers. They were about 22/23". They were bred lurcher x saluki/lurcher.
  3. I shoot both rabbit n fox. It's the tenant who got upset. Like I said it was my school boy error leaving the guts but in some cases you would think the farmer would say, he's doing pest control so but out.
  4. I found myself in a similar situation last week. The land owner wanted me to shoot some rabbits, which we did. I'd say about 100 in 3 sittings. We then left some rabbits guts in the corner of an old bit of waste land to try and coax a fox out of this wood, but to no avail. Now this is when it gets messy. We left the guts after the fox failed to show and went home, thinking they would be gone by morning. When unbeknown to me a lady who rents a horse field off him, uses this waste land to walk her dogs and they found the rabbit guts in the morning! she was not happy and the farmer was a bit piss

Sonnen dosnt deserve a title shot. Since he has stopped using HRT he is average at best. And it wasn't even as if his last fight was close.
  6. If it wasn't my dog doing the attacking and no owner was present, I'd put my knee across its neck to try hold it still... And then use my opinel no. 7 to spill its guts out. That would rectify any further problems.
  7. Pre ban I used to catch more long ears than bunnys. My old dog would average about 100 a year if he remained injury free. As for rabbits, the most I've ever dogged in one sitting is 16, but that's the fens for you.
  8. Don't think so bird dog, but then I've never ran a beagle so I could be way off.
  9. I'll be helping out a peterboro. I'll see if I can bring some stuff too. Great cause lurcher link.
  10. In humans, sports supplements are usefull as its an easy way of getting protein and other stuff without having to cook meat and veg for every meal. Convienience really. With a dog there is no need for this as complete or barf contain enough protein and vitimins. I only use electolite and a multi vit powder if I'm feeding a lot of carcass without the added veg.
  11. Ha ha.... You sure gotta pretty mouth!
  12. That coon looks a big lump! I bet they could be worst than our foxes with them having hand like claws.
  13. If it says your location on a sub heading, I carnt see it as I'm on a I phone. Cheers
  14. Brings a tear to a glass eye that story. Amazing.
  15. Sell your dogs and take up golf... Do us all a favour
  16. Your not gonna find many dogs that take Charlie night after night that can kill hares. Different dogs mate.
  17. I wonder if the live underground, or on top like hares?
  18. There is one in edrd for sale mate.
  19. Brilliant fight... About as good as it gets. Well done Luke.
  20. I took my lurcher ratting with my mate terriers and out of 96 rats, my bitch had 45, compared 51 between 4 terriers. When they know there job they can be unbeatable, IMO.
  21. I borrowed a new defender last night and it was the worst lamping truck I've ever been in, with regards to actual shooting out of the truck. Granted, it will take you just about anywhere but I felt I was fighting it all the time. I drive a freelander comersial and I prefer it. More room and much better shooting position, and a better drive. It won't drive across a ploughed field like a defender but I only really drive stubbles and headlands and grass fields. It's more like a chunky van really. My mate has an old diatsui and that's seems ok too.
  22. I fast one of my dogs every so offen, say once every 2 or 3 weeks, as he is such a fussy eater. I find this brings his appetite back a bit and he will feed better. I've never had such a poor eater, even tripe and raw beef strips get left in his bowl.
