  1. King, why not just use a heat lamp??
  2. How do you know she is from good lines, yet you don't know anyone with a decent bred stud dog? And why would you breed from a young bitch?
  3. You can get a new leupold 3-9 x 50 for less than £300.
  4. That's a really good clip. Good luck with the pups
  5. I like your thinking cocker... That would be hilarious!!
  6. Don't think I've ever seen that many in my life! Well done lads. I bet you wish you had them at £2:20 a pop hey.
  7. Cause it's possible. That's where salukis get there coat from. ... According to another thread!! Lol
  8. Shooting range is 250 meters plus, though you probally wouldn't be lamping much with a dog a that range. It won't replace my striker but for rabbiting and mouthing about they are great.
  9. I use shredded cardboard, £5 a bale. In the winter they have a heat lamp to. IMO there is not much point in insulating the walls/ceiling of the run if you've got an opening for the dog to enter. Just make sure it's draft free apart the door way.
  10. Just been out works great. Dog got 4 rabbits in a grass padock and on the way home I squeeked 3 foxes into about 30 yards with the lamp out of the truck window. Very impressed for £45.
  11. I've got a clu one. Very impressed and ideal for a short mouch. Very light too. It's probally more suited to Rifle shooting but I'll find out tonight as im taking the dog after a few bunnys.
  12. Funny you should say this as my brother called me tonight to say his labadoodle had just killed a fox cub in his garden when he let it out for a pee. He said it was smaller than a cat, so I wondered if was a late litter or maybe a second litter?
  13. I see what you mean about charging about. After watching a few videos on you tube they look like they could miss a few things just by the sheer pace they work at.
  14. Not Saturday it's not. That's only the lurcher link simo coursing. Show is Sunday only.
  15. Watch you don't get your trainers dirty lol
  16. For the lads who work these type of dogs, what do you think terrier adds to the mix. I'm after a bushing dog next season, and I was thinking pure cocker. I like how they hunt and I like the fact that they retrieve, which would come in handy lamping rabbits with the rimmy plus the odd bird or 2. My only concern about a pure cocker is that if grabbed a fox in the cover and took a bite to the nose, would this put it off working fox? Is this why some add terrier blood?
  17. Bryn certainly looks well. Good luck with your new pup too.
  18. There are a few grandkids of lucky running this season. When was the last bitch lucky lined? My mate has a bitch out of lucky but she is 10 now.
