    It would depend on where you live IMO. Most x crosses can catch rabbit and fox, but its the hares where they can come unstuck if your living in the fens. If your mouching about hunting up, then most lurchers can kill a hare, but if you've been invited for a days coursing then unless you've got some saluki in there, the only thing you'll be bringing home is a truly knackered dog. Though you do get the odd exceptions.

    Has anybody read his post?? He wants a pup for next year, so why tell him about some 4 month old pups now? He wants a breeders name, not some cast off that no one can sell.

    I use Feramo multi vit of the Internet, and rice takes about 3 mins in the microwave so no hassle really. Most vitimins carnt be stored in the body so yes they need to be given daily.

    I feed similar but I mix my mince beef/tripe with boiled rice and multi vit powder. I get a massive bag of rice from Aldi and boil a bit up each night. (Or a few mins in the microwave) I sometimes add a bit of veg to the rice like a carrot or a bit if cauliflower.

    That's probally the biggest 7 week old pup I've ever seen lol. Keep us all posted on his progress.

    You could give a small amount if you think it would help hue energy levels, depending on when you get up and what time you start shooting. For example my mate gets up about 6:30 and gives his lab a small feed as they don't normally meet up till 9ish and by the time they get to the first drive it could be 10ish. That's 3 hours or so before the dog starts work.

    I've used fibreglass loft insulation. Then boarded over with 12mm plaster board. This can be painted white once a year if you want to freshen it up a bit, plus it's a third of the price of sterling board or ply wood. I then lined the bottom with some off cuts of kitchen worktop which i got free from work, to protect the bottom 600mm from the dogs scratching and such like. I would prefer to use wood instead of plaster board but I needed about 12 sheets so it came down to cost.

    I've got heat lamps wired through a thermostat. I've been using heat lamps now for about 3 years and they seem to improve the dogs injuries no end. They wake up in the morning bouncing after a nights lamping instead of sometimes looking like they don't want a morning walk.

    Yea. I don't take to much notice of the weather. If I'm out I'm out, regardless. I went out the other night on a full moon and had one of my best nights, when I was in two minds weather to bother or not.

    I offen see dead one on the road and I wonder if there ferrets or wild polecats. Never seen a dead albino ferret so I've always thought they were polecats.

    I ran my old saluki dog too much one day when he was younger. Ran one too many hares. I had to carry him to the car and then he started twitching really bad. I got him home and gave him electrolytes and his meal and he came round. Live and learn.

    Shame that. Where did the windmil cup run. Was it an 8 or 16 dog stake?
