    Tomo, mines similar to your set up, but I had to build 3 separate sleeping boxes as my old dog is very protective of "His" run and won't share a sleeping platform. The down side is I've had to use more than one heat lamp because of this.

    I run saluki crosses, and they are pretty decent lamping dogs. As for ferreting though, there are better Xs out there but they will give it a good go. So if you've got a coursing dog, take it ferreting by all means, but if you want a ferreting dog, don't buy a coursing bred dog.

    The bitch I had was the only lurcher I've had that took pheasants regular. They wasn't really fox dogs though, though I'd only seen the bitchs work. The males might have been up for the job.

    I had one of this breeding when I was a kid, brilliant bitch but sadly got run over. She would kill hares regular but wasn't a 3/3 dog. Just a very keen bitch with a good mouth. She was from the same sire/dam as stats fly and cass.
