  1. Well if you read my post you'll see I don't feed fish, lamb ribs, chicken carcase or extra fat... Hence why I add multi vit.
  2. Because meat and rice alone would lack in vitimins. Not needed if your feeding complete but I don't if I can help it. And in the winter when the dogs are working 3/4 times a week I add electrolyte powder to keep them hydrated.
  3. They sound like they should be good fast type pups. Good luck with them.
  4. I feed mine half a rabbit or hare in the morning, and then in the evening I feed a pound of mince meat, (either beef, chicken or tripe) and boiled rice with the odd veg chucked in. To this I add a greyhound multi vit powder and in the season electrolyte powder too.
  5. Are they a first cross? Bang some pics up of the parents.
  6. What's up with the white pups? They look like they have mange? No offence if they havnt.
  7. If I was after a pup i would have one in a flash(providing there was one going lol). I've heard really good reports about both bulldozer and posh from a few different people. All the best to whoever gets one.
  8. That's a name I've not heard of for a while. My mate had 3/4 Grey 1/4 beddy from him about 12 years ago.
  9. I think the last one was held in lincs, if your on about the NLRC field trials. It was won by Jim greenwood with his coliex bitch.
  10. Loads of pigs about near me. There a pain in the arse as I like driving the stubbles and farm tracks with the dogs running along side. But to many off them things makes it too stressful lol
  11. I'm still wearing shorts so im not starting yet. 25 degrees this week here. Plus the ground is rock hard as there isn't any grass land, is all arable. October is when I normally start having a look about.
  12. Don't over do the bolting rabbits. 15 in one go seems a bit excessive. You could end up winding the dog up rather than making in more steady, if you know what I mean.
  13. No point mate. Only commenting on what I've seen, the beddy/greys I've seen have been much bigger and stronger than the few beddy/ wippets I've seen. I've never seen a beddy/wippet work though, but I like the beddy/grey but I do prefer a larger dog, but that's just me.
  14. Ripstop said H and F. The dogs I've seen, there is a big difference between beddy/greys and beddy/wippets.
  15. First cross beddy wippet does well on H and F. Now that I'd like to see
  16. Don't see many of those about. Do you work them? Are you keeping any? Cheers
  17. I used a long cord with my dog. So when he thinks he is free running, you've still got a lead on him.
  18. They should make pretty obedient and responsive pups. Good luck with them.
  19. Do you use the meat for the dogs, or do you treat them like big rats and leave them in a ditch?
  20. Try swapping the mounts, front to back. I had some new mounts and they wouldn't line up on my leupold.
  21. Seen a few none saluki types on the fens catch hares, but after a couple of runs there about beat. The 3rd and 4th hares are just been followed by the dog.
  22. Silentrunner, that battery of yours in not the same. It's not lithium ion.
  23. Just been checking the speck and if you can afford it, go for the 22 and they are the same size and weight as the 14, only dearer.
