  3. Just out of intreast, carry any parasites etc in there poo, that affects farm animals. I know it bad for humans /children, but not sure to cattle /sheep. My dogs are wormed 2-3 times a year, that Dontral+, that kills all kinds of worms a dog will in counter. If my dogs shit when out, I flick it in the headgerow, with all the other badger, fox, rat shit. I never leave it in a open field. So only asking about the above title to post, I was reading about this on Facebook. Few people arguing about this, just wonder who right??

  6. the wheaten dont look to strong in the fawn bitch, nice pup that i like dogs with confident temps, you got something to work with then, a pup with fawning/ sensitive temp hard work same as a adult dog. i like pit x greys , but drop deerhound/ wheaten give better coat and wind , keep us updated how the pup comes on what is it male .?

Regards lonelinells keith , thats one thing you got to come to terms with mate, my old man lost my mom, she died of clot on the brain, died 4 days, they been married nearly 60 years. he was on his own for 5 years before he died cancer of the gut. b ut i do know one thing deff, that my old dad got lonely , he hated being on his own , he told lots of times when i visited him, we never got on when i was younger and mad, he never liked my
  15. think few lads on here , like that way bred in there lurchers , most people go with the dam as the running dog anyway, but should not really make any difference on paper , as its 4/8 collie going over the bitch . But they do say that the bitch dictate more of the genes , i think that right as well , my big dog dam was a gsd , the sire the greyhound , all the litter threw alot to the dam i think , but got that bit more height from the sire .
  16. good age that phil , and she plenty of sport with you , old bryn 14 in sep ive thought me self how long he go on for ? j

makes sense mate, suppose if you want small deer, or a fox prob better of with small type male eagle , thats not over big like the female birds. i wonder why in birds, of prey the female bird always bigger than the male ,?

Deff great bird, I think it was on here, a bloke on here used his female' for lamping rabbits/hares, think he used the male for ferreting, wonder if they be to small for a munjack? You prob need couple of them, deff if a fox, prob better leave them for the dogs lol
  19. 100% mate, my parents had one in the 60s, it was nasty twat, it bitten my younger brother in the hand, dog aggressive, to be honest mate, it was a waste of a good dog, needed a bullet deff, them and collies got know time for either breed.!

now its funny you mention eagles killing foxes , ive seen the vids on here , with them tackling wolves. And in my mind , i reckon even taking a fox, the birds getting badly hurt, they dont all kill from one strike, from what i seen the fox and the wolf were giving birds some stick around there legs chest, seen 70lb lurchers loose a fox, once old charlie clamped on there feet/wrist , never mind 18-20 lb lol . i t was where i got me user name ( bird ) from like birds of prey, and the Harris hawk i think be nice knock about easy bird to keep and train, good pot fillers,
  21. good thread phil on the post, just goes to show, they aint all got to be herding type xs , but i am bit like you your self , i do like a very biddable type dog norm most herding type xs are , i do like good recall in a dog, more so at night, if you jumped over the fence like with all have as they say lol, Buck was fecker when he was younger , full on after his quarry , i was well glad when caught his target lol, but he did calm down abit as he got older .
  22. haha , yeh and here lol, farmers hate the bloody things , i got on small farm 30 acres , had few sheep on it, was loosing few lambs, farmer said will that big dog sort out few foxes , as he wasnt keen on guns around the place , he said he seen few pigs knocking round his place as well, i told him they take young lambs as well , they dont all eat worms etc lol
  23. hope it goes well mate, and your herd ok , fookin pigs= badgers have wiped out few beef farmers , they need good cull on them, far to many about, i see load more than ever when ive been lamping , the numbers have shot up in 10 years .
  24. true tomo , suppose as well it what comes to the brain box 1st , if you got few breeds in it. i told few times before when we were out mooching with max, ive had pit x greys quite biddable dogs not bad to train. your right herding cxs very easy to train but fookin pain at times with that collie brain, but i have found the gsd x simlar temp but stronger prey drive. a lurcher x lurcher from good proven parents will have plenty of brain to train and work
  25. pitbull might, unless its good big pitbull , but small type lurchers, wont be as efficient fox killers as big lurchers, dont get wrong ive seen small 22-23 in dogs kill foxes and good tough little dogs, ive said few times when i had none ped racing whippet bitch, thee was males down the track 34 lb that pile in to foxes no prob . Dont get me wrong there not going to kill a fox like like my big dog could , but i wouldn't expect them to , a dog got to want to kill foxes , and dont mind getting bitten , not all want it , big or small .
