  3. they deff are dangerous dog in the wrong hands , about 15 months there was bloke who had one big black male, not docked ears or tail, but like been said huge head, prpb as tall as Buck 28in, but easy 11 st= 150lb , this fookin thing dwarfed Buck. he had on a lead, i was walking past him, and i was really nervous of it, it would have killed Buck or me no prob . the bloke said that he never have a males in that breed, said have bitch next time easier to live with , i could see that. now not seen it for long while, but you get lot of idiots who , will always have there dogs loose, and the w
  4. like what Aussie Whip says, the acd are a top guard dog, the kelpie seem to be more of the alround cattle/ sheep dogs, but lot farmers had couple loose on there stations farms as guard dogs , so acd x collie or back to kelpie be great guard, any herding type x make great guards , ive always said one of the best guard dogs i ever seen was big black gsd x collie , on chain in the day, but at night loose, you didnt poach his ground lol, that fooker would rip you to pieces , 75lb teeth on you , you have to shoot 1st.
  5. Joe knows score with his dogs, he bred long enough to know what works and what don't. Same as Trunk on here breeds collie x pit greys line bred, use what ticking the boxes on his fox control in Ireland. Iam on a Oz site, where bloke working pit x grey x mastiffx greys, types. He go back to pure greys, when want bit more speed, he plenty power grit. He works wild pigs, foxes, and rabbits, when get dogs fit. It great read, and what his dogs can do, it fookin rough at times, he lost few dogs on boars. He did have some good game bred pits, that he used in the past, and some real fit looking En
  6. Yeh, great to see, but put lamp on that lot, they soon piss off. OK you get few daft ones and get good bags, but in time rabbits soon learn light mean danger, unless you use night rifles with night scope etc, dog lamp they soon lamp shy.
  7. well said, where i lived before by weston park, rabbits numbers were low, had to travel to get good bags .But funny really that after a full season lamping with bryn i had back then, ok was getting mid 30s few nights , was getting back to my place next morning 6am after 4 hours of driving , started fed up with it doing all season. Had Buck who was bred for deer / foxes really , but i did get 38 rabbits with him one night, which i think was great for a big dog like him. i was like you going anywhere , but getting chased most nights , ok when you can run , but fookin hard as you get olde
  8. what happened to the little pom you had? i liked him lol. i am the same now mate , every about fooked on me lol, but i am 71 now, 72 next year, old Buck 11, 12 in august he ok just plods along with little woody my jack x he about 12, suppose in life nothing last for ever , carnt keep living in the past as they say, but having had lurchers 37 years , they are great type of dog to have been around deff
  9. There all shit mate, only usyk his the best of the bunch. OK. People say he to small, but at 6ft 3in and 15st 10lb, same size as Ali at his best, he was class as cruiser, and he stepped up to this division quite good I think. But if him fury do fight in Feb, I think fury win, only because he use his extra 6in, 3 St heavier, fury try drain him down, and finish him end of the fight. But if usyk can get in close early rounds, he stop fury. But the fight got to happen yet lol.

thats bang on that, as few know on here ive had bad lower back for years. what ive found is you got to keep moving dont get me wrong, while your at the very real stage of pain, just move about slowly, but once you can get past that stage, the lower back exercise's come next. 1st i do the above flat on my back, leg up straight, then other, 2nd still on your back, legs together then on your side, go from left ,and to the right couple times , 3rd this called bridge, legs/ feet on the floor, arch your lower back up, just enough to tense your stomach , this a core exercise it will help your back
  13. funny thing you say that mate , as i get few in my garden , next door got horses and few alpacas knocking about, so rats are always knocking about . when i loose little woody out at night , he right to the fence he deff knows where they get in , i left him out with Buck the one night for 20 mins and they were both going round the garden like whippets haha , not sure if a cat or maybe fox might have been on there, it would have to get out real quick with Buck in there , as he kill it if found it.
  14. sounds good that, bound to be few on here who like bit of that on sat or sunday morning .
  15. thats what i wrote Gnash ( bond) you spot on mate, 15 month old it going into teen thing . electric collars can be good if used sensible , i used do lot of beating as younger bloke, and ive seen them missed used on gundogs , and i seen big lab just fook off from the shoot, the bloke was twat how he used it, i nearly kicked knackers through his head for him, he told me keep it shut, i said you want to hope the A/E not shut , because thats where you be going next . the keeper moved me away from him, because he was paid gun , and keeper didnt want to upset people who pay his wages , ok but
  16. right, 2 things to look at here = age, breeding . 1st the age, it best to get any dog from 9 weeks old , build up the bond , and put few little rules in , ok all pups will try it on, but it will mold around in 6 . 10 weeks with repetitive training , but nice and easy with it . 2nd breeding , beddy xs , now i know lots of people on here get on with this type x, ok no pob with that but for me . i had one years ago , it was beddy x whippet x grey gen bred. it was the worst lurcher i ever had, no re call , very hard mouth on anything , i had it 2 years pts in the end, it had ( hard pad

    Where's Moll ?

lol , them days are gone now lads , trigger tell you that as well , he 11 year old dog , not the same dog no more, but we both old now, so there you go . ( keepdiggin) not sure what do when he gone , i did think prob at my age 71 to wrap it up . But being around lurchers 37 years day/night , prob find the walks bit boring with out one, but no rush old Buck could plod on another 2 years yet, i leave the door open as they , if i stay as fit and strong as i am now .

  21. yes, but if it was 100% just about fishing , lot of people would turn off deff, im not fisherman , my late father in law was, and the wife brother in law, top class fisher man, won loads of competitions , price money = rods etc , ive had look with her late dad, but not for me, l like being on the move , thats prob why stuck at lamping for 37 years , catching stuff, and being fookin chased few times lol. 23. yep, i did mine , and got a few, in the day ,so night vision deff be lot better . dont know what his set up is , but if in shed or raised floor, you could put the poison under the shed of under the floor say 5 ft away no dog get to that, the rats just die in there. but if not got these set up like i have, well shoot them at night .
  24. how would that work then ? just curious how it be done. never had any dog like that, the only breeds i know that eat for England are fooken Labs, there greedy animals . how much you feeding the dog, maybe it not getting enough , so wolfs it down just thought. plus acd dogs in pure form are small stocky dogs anyway , even if sighthound ion the acd prob strong gene , all my lurchers eat fairly quick when younger, but slowed up as they got older .!
  25. looks nice keen, clever them acd dogs and tough with it , spot on for mooching in the day etc .
