Nuttals Punch X Irish Bred Bitch
Squirrel_Basher replied to IV Ecosse's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Confusion here mate .You state sire was Nuttals Punch but can't be at least not original as he's been dead 10 years .If the lad has a dog of Brian and then called it Punch its no longer Nuttals . -
Massive Long Shot

Have to agree with turner .Too many young uns wanting to pick and choose work instead of getting their heads down .I expect you were sacked really for laziness .lol.Did you not get a share of the tips as this is now compulsory(stirring b*****d lol)Had you stayed you could of gone anywhere as people are usually aware of work loads on commercials but the sad fact is you have fuckxed up .When I started, life was as you described but I lived off the land instead of out of a tin .We had down 45 g of pheasants and 16 g of partridge so you will know what I'm talking about .ffs ,18 your just a doormat -
Doesn't want to pay I guess lol

Does anyone remember a male terrier of that name from the past .Maybe 10-15 years back .The owner did a bit with Ytene mink hounds and the dog had plenty of sign of other work .The reason for this is that mate of mine has been gifted a bitch that supposedly goes back to him .He is keen to trace the lineage and would like too talk to Psycho owner if he's still about to trace his lineage .The dog was box headed and broken coated ,about 14 inches from memory .Only truthful answers please .

Brief Encounter In Fox City!
Squirrel_Basher replied to Accip74's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
We've shot stupid foxes on the lamp before and i mean really stupid that were definitely released by some do good body .The back feet had been snipped in the web on all 19 we shot in a week .I've walked to within feet of a sleeping fox but have to admit charlie is usually up and off first sign of disturbance ,especially ify dogs involved .Saying that I called a fox one evening in day light and slipped a young lurcher .Dog ran to meet it and gods honest they sniffed noses before I geed her a bit and off they went in a play style run around the field ,bitch went on to make a decent foxer though -
I like a dog to be started by 16 /18 months mate which would be its first season running into 2 years old .Any still pissing about won't be tolerated .Can't be fussed with half hearted stuff but JMO.

In my opinion and my opinion only if a dog is given every chance in its first season and it doesn't end up working its a cull .You can dress it up all you like ,make excuses read the odd story about second season succcesses but deep down you know its a failure .We should all be looking to produce stock that wants it from an early age not stuff that needs encouragement and for a dog to start work then tail off when in puppy places ,the minerals arnt there .Many will have different ideas ,some who have replied I'm surprised at but one thing is sure ,terriers will always be a talking point for th

We put logs across if its a mid tuber .Backfill is as much a part of it as the breaking through to us .More banter then than the digging .

Wanting A New Home For Me Pup
Squirrel_Basher replied to Salford black dog's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Just as a matter of interest mate ,where did you get it from .Pm if preferred . -
Weathers getting colder here now so will see a few more to ground

I have to agree mate .I went through a stressy time with the early Wheeler stuff and would not want that again. This whole thread seems to be based on macho dogs not fit for purpose .Every pat type has bull in it from the dawn of its creation so why add more just because you can .

Lokking A Fox Only Bolting Terrier
Squirrel_Basher replied to baz69's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
By a good un I guess you mean a good digging dog?, afraid to say "if" you've a good digging dog, bolts are few & far between. You lot are so narrow minded its laughable, cowardice this, jacket that, lol #ivasupermultitool What that means mate is that despite using a digging dog there will be bolts .Narrow mindedness is what shapes a tool . Multi tools are found wanting when needed .I've got no problem with the concept of a bolter just don't mix it with a real one .last post lol -
Lokking A Fox Only Bolting Terrier
Squirrel_Basher replied to baz69's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Which is why we will never agree on anything mate .I can shoot more foxes in a winter with the rifle than you can ever bolt but choose not to ,why because to me a terrier is more than a second rate bushing tool .Its good to have discussion but not to value failure in my eyes .This will rage on ,has been done to death so ill comment no more. -
Lokking A Fox Only Bolting Terrier
Squirrel_Basher replied to baz69's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
if that spanner bends to the will of a fox its no good to anyone Edited to say there are enough bolts with a good un without feeding a jacker. -
Somethingdogey here mate .Won't let you see before you part with money .Sounds like a con to me .Good luck either way mate .

Lokking A Fox Only Bolting Terrier
Squirrel_Basher replied to baz69's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Can't speak for every type of "bolter"but from what I've seen they are born of the type that rush in tarry a bit and bay then retreat when foxy wants to bring the fight to him .Over time the terrier stops tarrying and flying in and results to baying a good way off and avoiding the sharp end , letting charlie have the freedom of his domain to bolt at will coming out often to praise from owner .Personally I hate cowardise in any form of life therefore to me these have no place in my world .I agree they have a place especially in hunt service but its not what I personally would look to keep and -
Forgot about the tag bit .We moan but we really are spoilt here compared to that I suppose .Do some states allow lamping though ,for coyotes etc .Are pest species regulated too Rich do you know .I know in Florida you can buy pigs by the day .Bought one when I was there few years back but had my wallet nicked at animal kingdom and never went back .

You Dirty Stinking Rat
Squirrel_Basher replied to patterdale's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
Rats are omnivorous .You never trapped a rat in a tunnel and been left with a skin and tail by morning .We used to have a dead pit one place i worked and nothing lasted long .Good place to start a terrier.
