Why do people pertuate shit like this . I despise nervous dogs personally. The type that cower and won't comeback do my head in .Thankfully not a trait I've seen for many a year but I know certain black strains that have struggled to get away from it .The only way in my view is not to breed to something you arnt 100% happy with in work and disposition .

Anyone In West Sussex/surrey Trapping Mink?
Squirrel_Basher replied to davey869's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
I took a young mink kit home once whilst out mink hunting years ago and reared it with the ferrets ,well a bitch ferret did .It was very tame but put its ferret cousins to shame when playing with its sheer speed .I kept them all in a large Avery and the mink would race up the wire ,across the top upside down and back down ,it also used to run up my leg to perch on my shoulder. Some fecker let the lot out and I never saw it again although I got most of the ferrets back. Good luck with your quest mate . -
His early stuff I saw were miniature pits but slate grey . I saw some pics of rough coated stuff that he'd bred too earlier but it was the smooth black bully head that was his type .Wheeler took some of this and added more bull and it has to be said ,neglecting work he went this route

Pablo ,yet again you are coming across as being a tit .Mate of yours tells me you are sound so ffs act like it .Nowt wrong with that pup .
-
It only took one smooth coat progeny that was good and was bred from /to, more than the rest and a Pat type was born . Black being the most dominant colour gene I believe ,gotten from black pits of the era .The border jacket would have been around for decades until fashion kicked in .Interesting Glyn as I looked at a litter of border x pits today with a mate .All black ,border headed with the tight coat .If those old boys hadn't of messed about with the border then its history may of been a whole lot different .

You don't have to an auther either

Openly admits to digging cubs too but would blow an artery if he saw a pic of a few been shot .Met him at the Welsh once where I meant to mention all this but bottled it as he looked real frail.I understand he to have a front for the mag that champions dog work but just wondered what his take would be on proper fox control .

Better wash that oil off first

Might be a gent but double standards is not a good quality .Slagging off riflemen one minute then shooting two in a hole the next at rutting time .I shot a pair shagging some time ago and he wrote about it in the mag decrying the act as to be so terrible .In the same mag he's digging a couple of brace and shooting all .Now I realise he's well into his dogs as am I but he does it under the heading of pest control for farmers ,so do I but I got lucky with the rifle that day and not the dogs .Constantly slagging riflemen is terrier men talk for there my foxes ,a mindset that gives no credibility

Mandarin Ducks Legal Or Not
Squirrel_Basher replied to the monkey's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
Because its not yet recognised as breeding here regularly .The lake I fish has 4~5 pairs breed every year and noisy feckers too .Tree nesters .Crows have most of the ducklings though as they seem to spend lot of time out the water .Be indigenous soon. -
Proper day out there mate

Same with any trade or life for that matter .you start at bottom and work up depending on what you achieve .You have to prove yourself for however long it takes ,whatever they chuck at you but some don't have the metal and that's fact .Too many want instant success without the graft to appreciate later life .We are breeding soft c**ts that want it all for nowt .The early years are there to test you for any way of life ,the harder it is the better the rewards .This lad has jacked ,been found wanting now he's asking four another go at what many lads would die for but those in the know can see he -
Thanks mate

Pity cant be said of you or you'd still be there .You better look for other work as no estate in their right mind will employ a jacker IMO and you will be asked for previous employer . -
Nuttals Punch X Irish Bred Bitch
Squirrel_Basher replied to IV Ecosse's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Confusion here mate .You state sire was Nuttals Punch but can't be at least not original as he's been dead 10 years .If the lad has a dog of Brian and then called it Punch its no longer Nuttals . -

Have to agree with turner .Too many young uns wanting to pick and choose work instead of getting their heads down .I expect you were sacked really for laziness .lol.Did you not get a share of the tips as this is now compulsory(stirring b*****d lol)Had you stayed you could of gone anywhere as people are usually aware of work loads on commercials but the sad fact is you have fuckxed up .When I started, life was as you described but I lived off the land instead of out of a tin .We had down 45 g of pheasants and 16 g of partridge so you will know what I'm talking about .ffs ,18 your just a doormat -
Doesn't want to pay I guess lol

Does anyone remember a male terrier of that name from the past .Maybe 10-15 years back .The owner did a bit with Ytene mink hounds and the dog had plenty of sign of other work .The reason for this is that mate of mine has been gifted a bitch that supposedly goes back to him .He is keen to trace the lineage and would like too talk to Psycho owner if he's still about to trace his lineage .The dog was box headed and broken coated ,about 14 inches from memory .Only truthful answers please .

Brief Encounter In Fox City!
Squirrel_Basher replied to Accip74's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
We've shot stupid foxes on the lamp before and i mean really stupid that were definitely released by some do good body .The back feet had been snipped in the web on all 19 we shot in a week .I've walked to within feet of a sleeping fox but have to admit charlie is usually up and off first sign of disturbance ,especially ify dogs involved .Saying that I called a fox one evening in day light and slipped a young lurcher .Dog ran to meet it and gods honest they sniffed noses before I geed her a bit and off they went in a play style run around the field ,bitch went on to make a decent foxer though -
I like a dog to be started by 16 /18 months mate which would be its first season running into 2 years old .Any still pissing about won't be tolerated .Can't be fussed with half hearted stuff but JMO.
-
In my opinion and my opinion only if a dog is given every chance in its first season and it doesn't end up working its a cull .You can dress it up all you like ,make excuses read the odd story about second season succcesses but deep down you know its a failure .We should all be looking to produce stock that wants it from an early age not stuff that needs encouragement and for a dog to start work then tail off when in puppy places ,the minerals arnt there .Many will have different ideas ,some who have replied I'm surprised at but one thing is sure ,terriers will always be a talking point for th

We put logs across if its a mid tuber .Backfill is as much a part of it as the breaking through to us .More banter then than the digging .
