    I think a Veteran should definately go to the final !! After all, it should have prooved itself over at least six seasons. I don't think a pup should go to the final, as it isn't the finished product, growing wise; and has prooved nothing. Cheers.

    I've only ever had one Collie X, back in the 70's, and it was brainless AND slow !! LOL !! I know it shouldn't have, but it soured my opinion of Collie X's for life !! So, by the law of averages, if you can get a brainless slow one, you should be able to get a clever fast one ?? But they will usualy be somewhere inbetween. I've seen some dogs run "clever" but can go up the gears and show a good turn of speed when needed, so, I repeat, it's not as clear cut as "brains V speed" !! Cheers.

    I don't think it's as clear cut as "brains V speed" !! A dog can have all the brains in the world, but if it doesn't have speed, it aint gonna catch !!! It should, hopefully, have a good balance of speed AND brains, and let's face it, if we are just talking about rabbits, it doesn't need an abundance of either !! Oh, and by the way; I like my dogs to have pleanty of speed, as there is nothing worse than seeing a dog getting straightlined !! And it's nothing to do with "putting on a show" or "impressing my mates" !! LOL !! Cheers.

    I've just done that, and got what was possibly the worst vdeo I've ever seen !! LOL !! When the guy wasn't filming his feet or the tree tops, there was what looked like a black and tan dog and a fawn dog doubled up on a hare !! Extremly poor videomanship, (is that a real word ??) !! There must be better vids of the dog than that ?? Cheers.

    Should never run on rape stubble, or any other stubble come to that !! Never run on plough, never run if the ground is to hard/soft wet/dry/snow or frosty !! Never run a dog on the lamp if it is to light/dark/not windy/cloudy, to much rain/not enough rain !! Never run a dog near barbed wire fences !! In fact we should NEVER run a dog, except maybe at the racing at shows.......and then only if the field is like a billiard table !! You may have guessed by now that I'm being facetious !!! LOL !!! If you ask where/when to run a dog on here, you'll get so many answers you'll end up never runnin

    I think this is just another wind up !! But anyone who lets a 9 month old Lurcher , accidently or otherwise, run with a Hound Pack, and then asks why it is running wild all over the land, has to be an idiot !! Give the pup to some one who has a bit sense before you ruin it completely ! Cheers.

    Chart's a good vet once said to me don't clean a wound on a dog with anything that turn's white in water as it can cause an infection within.. I've used Dettol, or the "own brand" stuff, on myself and my dogs all my life !! With no apparent side affects. Dettol tells you on the label that it's for cleaning wounds, so, in these days of rampant littagation, I'm sure it's fine ! Cheers.

    It's just a cut pad, mate. You did the right thing, taking it to the vet's, if you wern't sure what to do. You could have saved a bit of money by simply keeping it clean by cleaning it twice daily with some warm Dettoll but there's nowt wrong with letting the vet see it. Should be healed in a couple of weeks. Good luck with the dog Cheers.

    Had fish & chips all over the world, but no one seems to get it right like the Brits !! It's GOT to be white fish from cold waters, such as cod or haddock. This grouper and stuff just isn't right !! And most of the world can't make decent chips,(or fries, as they call them) !! I remember Harry Ramsdens opened up in Saudi Arabia, but they were using warm water fish from the Red Sea and the Gulf, and the chips were those bootlace things !! It never caught on . Cheers.

    The problem is "selling for a friend" is usualy a euphymism for "I'm a peddlar" !! LOL !! Of course there are people genuinely selling for a friend; but why can't the friend join , it's easy enough, and sell for themselves ?? Yes, some people don't have a computer, but every library has computer access for free. Cheers.
